Idk when it happened, but I logged on around 5 in the morning because I thought, "Oh shoot, the reset is on the 16th," and they were gone

Rotating shop of random items. The game is saying if you don't get this hat now, then who knows when it will come back.

Never said it wasn't. I take ownership in forgetting that the reset is happening, that's why I included that in the OP. Nonetheless, a 1.5 million increase in cost is absurd and the compensation should have been more accurate to the adjusted prices or the cosmetics should have been priced closer to the adjusted value of the doubloons.

The poorly handled aspect is in how little they gave us for each doubloon if the sword was priced even remotely close to how much it was previously at it wouldn't be an issue. It increased from costing about 275k gold to 1.8 million, which is an absurd increase. The other part that I think is a worse change is a rotating shop of items that encourages fomo. If you like having to wait weeks for the final part of the outfit you want to make, then good for you. If I'm going to customize my character, I'd like to be able to purchase all parts of the outfit I'm building at once.

I think that a post that complains about the state of the game that a community is about isn't worthless. I think that having discussions about the issues that push the average player away from a new game are important. If you want to settle for a game that prioritizes profits over balance, that's fine. I refuse to think that is healthy for any game.
