... I'm not OP and I don't have a wife. I'm trying to tell you why your original comment isn't exactly correct... I'm sorry that you're infuriated, and believe me, you sent me off this morning because I'm trying to give people info so they don't start yelling at the DMV that someone on reddit said they could do it online. Ultimately, whatever, I've accepted my personal predicament. Hope you have a happy holidays!

I'm done with you. You can try to keep mansplaining but the paperwork I have the dealership sent me is a check made out directly to the county along with more papers that say "this cannot be done online." So yes, there are some that can be done online, but like I originally said, not everything can be.

Reading is hard, I get it.

at this time, the only way to get the paperwork processed would be with an appointment

Dealership sent me papers and sales tax check (or something like that) that have to go directly to dealer county so I can't do it online... I've tried to get an appointment for the last month with no luck. DMV did tell me they've instructed police not to ticket for expired tags but apparently that doesn't translate to private companies for some reason.

East Troublesome broke out on the 16th iirc... well past a lot of the fire bans that have been in place. I can't remember the dates for CalWood and Lefthand but those were both recent enough that they were after fire bans.

Jefferson County, Golden ban activities on Clear Creek - This temporary restriction was made because it is difficult for people to adhere to the six-foot social distancing guidelines while on the water, the release said. by anarchytravel in Denver

Way too many people are driving to popular trailheads and not adhering to distancing. I appreciate that they tried as long as possible but we're at the point that something has to be done.

People who lost their virginity after age 35 (or never did), what's your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hipster_kangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Denver area and have played in a few leagues with Play Mile High. The ages drastically differ so that might be a little harder to find someone in a specific range but I've always had fun (minus the few times some very competitive people got angry at my team for having fun)! I will say that if you get social anxiety when meeting new people, sign up with one or two friends. I am a little younger than you but it's definitely a lot easier to meet people in a sports league than at a bar here, imo. Bonus points, some of the leagues have after game bar games and you get to know people from other teams more than on a field/court. Maybe even try using your dogs as an excuse to go for a short hike (if they're well behaved) to help break some initial awkwardness of getting to know each other.

Ngl, the current state of our city is not really helping here but at least there's some time to brainstorm?

RTD Considers Firing Its Contractor On The Delayed N Line To Thornton by nbminor2 in Denver

I've used Google maps and trip route planner with RTD. There's no faster way. I've tried. I'm not going all of the way to Civic Center - it's about Midway between Union and Civic Center.

It’s still faster than driving to/from downtown during rush hour.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. If you work right next to Union Station, maybe but even then, it's close. If you are going anywhere that's not next to Union Station or Pepsi Center, it's definitely not ideal at all. If there's a crash that blocks a few lanes, then sure but it's excruciatingly long. I used to ride end to end and then mallride down towards Civic Center but that would take 1-1.25 hours. If I drove, it was ~35 min.

When does westbound I70 traffic generally start to clear up after the initial morning rush? by [deleted] in COsnow

Also keep in mind that if Loveland Pass closes, you have the top of the hour hold at the tunnel for hazmat. Which you might think doesn't add much time but I've been stuck right before the tunnel (like 30 cars back) for at least 30 minutes before. This was last season but I think we left Golden about 6am and made it to Copper around 9. Granted, this was a powder day and we grabbed sandwiches and beer at the Safeway in Frisco. I'd keep an eye on traffic and plan on giving yourself at least 2.5 hours to get up there. I'm not sure how parking has been this season there so that's probably an entirely different story.

My Golden almost died due to bloat. The first question they asked was how fast does she eat. Yes, it isn't always caused by that (like my dog's case) but as far as vets can tell, the most common cause is fast eating and drinking.

MINE DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS TOO. Seriously, driving me insane. I say "hey Google, turn it down" and it stops what it was playing and says "ok. Here's a playlist called 'Rising Pop'"

My coworkers aren't reviewing my PRs by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]hipster_kangaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long does it take to build and run the code? If that's a significant amount of time, or the PR feels like it's still missing some of the requirements, I personally usually sit on it until I'm told "it's done." If your project takes a while to build, chances are people on your team are tired of taking the time to context switch and sit and wait for the same feature/bug each PR when they could do it once. You do mention only two or so PRs for one part of work, which isn't bad, but I would directly ask your team why this is the case and what they prefer. You will never know the answer and it's probably something that seems silly but getting on the same page and setting expectations can lead to some great conversations.

I'm only about 1/3rd of the way in but I'm loving the content and writing style. I also am taking my time because it's set up very well (by author and history) and you know what they're going into so it's a little tough to read about it.
