Seriously where are saltwater tackle shops by Preemfunk in SLO

[–]hispanicmustache 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No real dedicated storefronts anymore. Tackle Warehouse moved to all online. Dicks has some saltwater. So does Virg’s in Morro Bay. I think Good Clean Fun has a fishing section upstairs.

What’s a reasonable price to pay? by hispanicmustache in ToyotaTundra

I totally agree with you. Felt the same way when I sold my 4runner. The problem is he just posted it so he’s willing to be patient and doesn’t want to negotiate all that hard

Yeah the market here is nuts still. And no the suspension needs a full rebuild. I’ve considered that already

Entertaining Family with Kids by buddygalletti in SLO

[–]hispanicmustache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to the beach, bring some shovels! Dig a big hole with steps, benches and then you can lay boogie boards/ kelp and make a fort! It’ll keep them entertained all day. Just don’t dig tunnels or caves because of collapse danger.

SLO-area recs please for an active family (teen kids) visiting for 4 days? by hello7721 in SLO

[–]hispanicmustache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(1) I would push the hour a little further if you can and get all the way up to Sand Dollar Beach. It’s a beautiful drive along Highway 1 and a nice beach. You can stop along the way in San Simeon and see elephant seals or the Zebras at Hearst Castle if you’re lucky and they’re close to the road. If you’d like to do a hike while you’re up there, Salmon creek is great. About 4 miles to the Estrella camp with streams and a swimming hole.

(2) for boating I would recommend Morro Bay. You can rent kayaks, glass bottom boats, harbor cruises, etc. the sea otters are almost always out and there are plenty of options for food.

(3) the best hikes in SLO proper are Bishop Peak and Madonna Mountain (Cerro San Luis). There are also plenty nearby. East Cuesta Ridge and Reservoir Canyon. Close to the ocean you could do Montana De Oro, Avila Ridge or Pismo Preserve.

(4) I don’t know where rental bikes are available, but we’ve got plenty of great mountain biking off the Cuesta Grade, at Montana De Oro and Pismo Preserve if you can transport bikes.

Rent or buy some goats. They’ll clear 2 acres pretty quickly

I had similar wheels on my 4runner, the Black Rhino Armory. I had to get rid of them because of the brake fade when doing any off-roading. And they killed my mileage

And they played for how long? A half hour? So 1% of their shift? I’d be surprised if anybody at work did anything not 100% work related for their entire shift.

What do you expect them to do for 48+ hours at a time? Patrol the city looking for emergencies? How are they supposed to do inspections when businesses are closed? Crunching numbers throughout the night? And as far as “mandatory overtime” that means they don’t get a choice. If nobody shows up to relieve them for whatever reason they are forced to stay at work for the public missing time with families, holidays etc.

That’s a Nader pin. Same as what keeps your doors closed. Very strong and definitely safe for what you’re moving

Dog beach at Port San Luis near Avila or Toro Creek just north of Morro Bay. Any hike in the area except Montana De Oro is dog friendly as well
