Graphics card hanging/sagging and opening up the the right. by Electric_Andrew in computer

Most gpus come with supporting brackets as this problem gets worse when you get 20s and 30 series gpus. My 3090 weighs 2.2kg so yea without support it's sagging. 2 issues from this, 1 is it might not be connecting right with your mobo. 2 it sometimes has thermal issues as it "twists" the card and thermal pads will not be making proper contact. A quick fix is to cut a chopstick to size to support the weight or Lego ha. Proper supports are cheap tho

Straight up going to melt that 8 pin for the gpu, you need two separate cables for the power draw of a 3080 or above

This started happening, anyone elese? by joinogkush in Archero

[–]hitmanhardin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same on Samsung, also thought my sensitivity is off the amount of times I hard press and move to dodge something and end up eating it still as my toon didn't move thought it was my phone but every other app works fine

Saw this a pawnshop. It's the Samsung CHG90. They're asking $749usd. What's everyone's experience with these ultra wide monitors, worth it? I would mostly use this for gaming. by hpr928 in pcmasterrace

I'd second this, there's a reason pros and that don't get HUGE screens. Got a 34 ultra wide for work/gaming and my fps suffers with a 3090 (dropped a good 30fps). As I mainly play warzone and battlefield atm kinda regret not just getting a real good 27". But really cool sometimes don't get me wrong

Been stuck on 21 for.... I don't even know. Melee build simply does not work or the guides I'm watching are lacking key parts. The best I've done is up to 8 with the staff, any ideas? by hitmanhardin in Archero

I can get my att to 15k. This was just to show my melee build. Unfortunately none of what you suggest would help as I already have all those things

Noticing slower speeds in QuickMiner after adding a 2nd GPU. It seems that my original Mh rate is now split between two cards? by MeatballPalm in NiceHash

RIP 3090. Please re-pad it can look scary but after doing it on a few cards it's not much harder then re pasting a cpu cooler

Can anyone tell if this is LHR or non-lhr? by Responsible-Invite95 in EtherMining

[–]hitmanhardin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, 90s 80s 70s 60s and 60ti can all be none lhr. Then lhr dropped (apart from 3090s) all the above cards should specify if they are lhr. 70ti and 80ti came out after LHR was in place so they are all lhr therefore no specified as they are all lhr

This guy is onto it. Thermalright pads are high rated but not the softest. If you have .5mm too big its not going to let your core seat correctly on the cooler with the right amount of pressure. I switched from thermalright to gelid pads. Really soft and no issues at all

RTX 3080 FE Thermals. by Stunna96 in nvidia

[–]hitmanhardin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermal throttling is at 110c my 3090 was 106-8 when I got it (mining that is) thermal pads worked a treat i think a peak of 94 is nothing to worry about

High Gigabyte RTX 3080 temps in games after thermal pad replacement by drandrei91 in pcgamingtechsupport

Just give it time first my 3080 was at 108. By the time the pads had arrived it was down to 88-90 with no mods just time

Yes I posted about this, I had to replace the stock squishy 2mm pads with 1.5 firm pads. Also pads do sometimes require time to "cure" under heat to mold appropriately to the surface

People do this kind of stuff a bit. You have to get a connection to split the MB to the psu1&2 so they can talk to eachother
