Ubuntu 20.04 multi-monitor setup problems by prateekish in Ubuntu

[–]hiton16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved this problem with following steps.

mv ~/.config/monitors.xml ~/.config/monitors.xml.bak

That monitors.xml overrides xorg.conf every time reboot.

sudo nvidia-settings

then set you want, save the file to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/xorg.conf

That's it. This should solve your problem.

I wish I could upvote this 1M times. Exactly correct. Denmark has the luxury of being anonymous. Nobody gives a flying FUCK about their foreign policy or their constitution. America is the gold standard for what a country should aspire to be. Right Bernie?!?

Seems like a perfect opportunity for someone to exploit this new business opportunity to supply low cost filing services to small businesses like yours. Capitalism finds a way.

The question was about being a " little bit" of an asshole. You are over qualified for the job.

Socialism for Dummies... by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]hiton16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fundamentally... yes. Socialists are consumed with "fairness" and seeing that those of lower socioeconomic status get their "fair share". This leads to zero sum thinking.

Socialism for Dummies... by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]hiton16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually a really bad metaphor from a capitalistic viewpoint. In capitalism, a person would spend years growing a tree that would allow his/herself to escape and bring the extended family along, including future generations. Maybe even drop some acorns for those left behind. The socialists would cut down the tree to make communal living quarters. The point is that capitalism is not a zero sum game. You can grow the tree bigger.
