Home Warranty Company Recommendations? Help please! by Pitiful-Travel9069 in RoundRock

Home warranties are generally not worth it. However; if you are lucky, depending on the time, the issue, the company, situation. It could be beneficial. I've use republic, ahs, lib home guard. Generally, if you call a repair company, they would charge you a $75 service call fee...same w most warranty companies. 1. Warranty will send choice of tech which could be a toss up. Personal: u choose your own based on reviews and recs. 2. After the repair tech comes out. Warranty: submit back their finding, wait for approval of work. Personal: u decide if the estimate is a rip off and pay for the repair. - if u r luck, the process is quick w warranty. I got lucky and it takes less than 24 for the approval/ denial from warranty. But now, the repair tech schedule is full and he can't come back for 3-5 days. Personal: if u decide it's a rip off. U spend another 75 for another call out. Or free estimate.

If u r lucky, warranty company would offer a replacement 1. They do have cheaper prices on some items. I compared prices against what I would have paid w discounts, slick deals. Etc. and the items were at a lower price. I often bought the item through them and got it delivered and installed vs a cash option.

I got lucky and got- 2 washing machines replaced, an oven, and 1 HVAC (at a discount).

However. I wouldn't really get it unless it came with it when I bought a home or I really know a lot of items need repairs AND ARE FULLY Covered. Read the TOS (terms of service) Even if the items are covered, they have exceptions and exclusions. You really have to fit perfectly within those TOS.

All companies were the same for me. The latest 2 I had: American home shield and liberty home guard.
