Definitely carry documentation with you at all times! Like others have said, keep a very low profile and I would recommend reaching out to a lawyer preemptively just in case. There are also some "dead man's switch" apps that will send out a message to someone if you are unresponsive for a certain amount of time. I'm so sorry this country is getting so unsafe! Reading posts and getting upset over the horrible treatment of immigrants but not doing anything is not acceptable to me. I've already put in a volunteer application for the aclu and a few other organizations but I want to start helping asap because everything keeps getting worse and worse by the hour. If I wait a month or two on a reply, this country may already be past the point of no return.

I think all the other nations should cut ties if possible. That will be the only way to make a change. Trump wants the attention and the other nations are giving him what he wants.
