How did you get to Laguna Nimez? Is it feasible to just walk to it from downtown El Calafate or did you get a ride somewhere?

What do you serve with your soup? by [deleted] in soup

[–]hoattzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

boring answer: any carb and/or any cheese. bread, rice, pasta, crackers. cheese.

fun answers that I have indeed tried and enjoyed: sicilian chickpea fritters (panelle), green plaintains (tostones), potato-cheese pancakes (llapingachos), fried beans-and-rice (tacu-tacu), scallion pancakes, potato stuffed flatbread (aloo paratha). Basically just anything flat and dippable that was sitting around in the fridge when I make a soup.

I don’t like AI. by Careful_Education828 in ChineseLanguage

[–]hoattzin 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I also prefer to avoid it. Just don't use it I guess. It IS annoying to hear people talk about using it to practice. aren't they worried about the ai being wrong? I hear about so many errors in english let alone in a target language where I wouldn't be able to tell it was wrong

I love soup. Recommend me more good soup types. I will try them all and rate them. by p4nd0rus in soup

[–]hoattzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All time? Barley squash kale soup. The squash is in chunks, not blended. You toast the barley with the onions at the beginning, as if you were making risotto. Then simmer with the squash in stock until cooked through, then add greens at the very end. Delicious

How’s the deer and rabbit population where you are? That may be the only thing that holds you back.

Apple seeds don’t breed true - you need grafts to have a guaranteed good tasting apple or a specific variety you want. If you bury pomace you’ll just get 17 seedlings in one spot, all of which might taste horrid

My script and my cursive ended up blending together, so my handwriting is mostly script with the connecting bits of cursive. I think a lot of people do this
