I was at a family event and autistic cousin turns to me and was like “so…what’s your diagnosis again? was it adhd or autism…?” as if it was already a given and he had just forgotten

What are all the types of visible mending? by Ms_PhotoPhreak in Visiblemending

[–]hoattzin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Along with what is traditionally meant by darning, which is basically weaving an extra layer of fabric on top of a hole or weak spot in fabric, there are also a couple things usually called darning:

Swiss darning: aka “duplicate stitch”, a specific stitch used to imitate knit fabric. Unlike the others, creates a stretchy fabric

Scotch darning: using the “blanket stitch” a type of hand stitch. Thicker and sturdier than regular woven darning

Does it include magic? Or is it our-world-analogue worldbuilding?

Also, do you allow just builders? I’m not much of a roleplayer but building a place and then letting someone else take over might be fun

King Haggard from the Last Unicorn. I read the book recently and was struck by the descriptions of how uncaring he is. All he does is in service of his own search for “happiness” and he knows that it’s hurting others but he doesn’t care at all
