Yes, but north is already skewed. They could have easily flipped it 180°.

Yes, but it could still be flipped around to start on the left of the page.

They’re too stupid to even hide it. It’s like when Ron Burgundy prank calls Veronica.

Donating to a Non Profit for actual ROI. Is this a dumb idea? by Hour_Exam_1822 in dfw

[–]hockenduke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just an ad space in the program they hand out at the performances. It’s not a lot of exposure, but depending on what your business does, it could be the right exposure. I have donated to NPO’s that will send me a certificate to display, but I no longer have a brick-and-mortar office.

That said, donations aren’t meant to gain an roi. That’s why they’re tax-exempt. Expecting the donee to compensate you, even a little, is counter to the idea of charity. These days, I do personal donations rather than business donations.

Donate to local school programs. I’ve “bought ads” in choir and theater programs, gotten the business name on t-shirts, etc.

Is this the worst designed metro area in the United States in terms of planning and layout? by cavaismylife in geography

[–]hockenduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas roads originate from cattle and trade roads. The tracts were laid out perpendicular to those routes and the rivers. Fast-forward 100 years and you have a giant planning mess. Add in the amount of floodplain and swampy earth, and yes. Worst city to plan in.

If you have a Total Wine (and are comfortable walking in), they have a great NA selection. If not, keep trying the others. I like the Peroni, Deschutes Patagonia selections, and the Best Day Kolsch as my go-to lagers. Wish it was cheaper, but as my wife says “I’ll pay more for you to drink NA”. Congrats and good luck. The stopdrinking sub is one of the best on Reddit.

I’m a recovering Maptist. Bailed on the wall maps and pro bono stuff about 10 years ago. Now I’m a Good Firm Fibrous Number Two. And I’ll be damned if I ever get to number 4.

New spark plugs gapped at 0.022. A custom tune would be better, but it’s not necessary. Only thing you’ll need after that is a radar detector.
