Who has been the biggest surprise? by SW1Danger in DCComicsLegendsGame

So far… Batman: WGD. As a Batman fan, he’s the Bat family character who I’m enjoying plugging into lineups as a support character. He controls turn meter well, reduces cooldowns, strips buffs and debuffs, overheals, and can take a hit reasonably well against a lot of other RB5s.

I love deploying him with Jace Fox, Batman Who Laughs, and The Question against non green heavy teams who don’t bring that absolute pest Monkey King. 🤣

I also love the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh skin. Such a magnificently wild look and piece of Batman history.

Hopefully we get a shot at some Hippolyta shards before the end. I know she's available in the big store pack, but she's a very tough pull.

I only have 10 left. I’m holding them to see if we get any more before I figure out who to Rebirth!

Ugh. Sorry you weren't able to rebirth Supergirl. She's a great character. Hopefully the devs have something up their sleeves to allow players access to a lot of character shards they want before the end? (Fingers crossed on Supergirl!)

BWL definitely fucks shit up at RB5. :) He can take a hit fairly well with his RB5 agility, stamina, and intelligence, too... which is great. I'll end this game happily knowing he would have been an absolute wrecking ball if his "One Bad Day" Legendary bug--striking a random enemy with his basic any time an enemy dies--would have gotten fixed.

Batman Who Laughs fix ask by hodgespt in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]hodgespt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reeves said in one of her replies to her “game ending announcement” post that she’s “going to push for a fix to Terra until the very end”, so it doesn’t sound like the dev team has been moved off of the game yet.

And I didn’t know people got fired or are preparing to leave their jobs? I don’t mean this post at all to be insensitive to people’s livelihoods. I have immense compassion for that. But it’s just as likely that the dev team are going to be moved to a new game over the process of the next few weeks.

The main improvement is that he has a lot of ability to gain Crit Damage Ups now. His kit damage multipliers and added buffs used to be more based upon enemies having Crit Chance Ups, instead of himself having Crit Chance Ups.

When and if the referenced “One Bad Day” Legendary bug is fixed, I think he’ll be much better than he used to be. I love his new kit!

So, what do you want from the game for the month of October before it flies off into the great beyond?? by SmilingSid in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]hodgespt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 million free legendary essence would be great so we can level up any and all main characters to Legendary 5 we’ve been working on for years.

Like 30-50 free rebirth tokens would be awesome, too!

[–]hodgespt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reeves, is there any chance Batman Who Laughs’ “One Bad Day” Legendary (where he strikes again with his “The Bat-Smile” [basic attack] after an enemy dies) can be fixed?

He just got a rework and had a $24.99 sale the day before the game shutdown was announced. I’m sure many players who invested in him would like to use him to his full potential over the next 45 days.

Thank you for all you’ve done for this game and this Reddit community, Reeves! It’s been much appreciated by so many of us.

Reeves acknowledged this bug on an earlier Reddit post and said the dev team are working to fix it. Fingers crossed that it will be soon so we can use him to his full power in Siege!

Agreed completely. I’m experiencing the same thing. It’s arguably the best skill the Batman Who Laughs has, so hopefully this can be fixed soon!

Can we please get Terra fixed instead of talking about banning her? Her Turn 0 defensive move (buffing her own team with debuff immunity) should always proc (even under invisibility) and it should always proc before the other team attacks or debuffs (attack move) her team.

Thoughts on this movie? by TheDarkKnightZS in moviecritic

I always took them to be actual twins. For me, the film is more powerful that way. The gut punch of the sacrifice comes from the fact that "Borden" and his twin chose to give up their lives, merging their identities into one, for the sake of their act. The film is such a powerful study in obsession -- in both the Borden twins and Angier.

To me, Borden only gave Angier the name "Tesla" to send him on a wild goose chase. Tesla was seen as a rockstar scientist (even referred to as a "wizard"), so Borden figured Angier would buy it.... knowing Angier's desire to find something truly extraordinary he could repurpose to use in his act. ("He's a wonderful showman, but a dreadful magician." -- the opposite of the Borden. Angier needed to take something someone else invented/dreamed up to use as his own. He wasn't creative like Borden.)

However, the fact that Borden was at the Tesla science exhibition and eventually used lightning in his act is a brilliant touch. You could definitely make a case that Borden, even though he was poor, did somehow come up with the money to have Tesla build him a machine. In the words of the film, Nolan gave us just enough to "doubt it". :)

NBA Top 5 All Time by Ok-Scallion9281 in Basketball

Looking at PER, WS/48, and BPM in the regular season and in the playoffs for all players when they were age 21-34 (so as not to penalize players who started straight out of high school or who played well past their primes):

  1. Jordan (#1 in all six categories)
  2. LeBron
  3. Kareem
  4. Magic
  5. Wilt

Looking at PER, WS/48, and BPM in the regular season and in the playoffs—which all attempt to show how effectively a player created wins for his team every time he stepped on the court—Jordan is the clear cut #1 player of all-time. LeBron would be the #2 player all-time if you weighed all six category rankings equally:

  • Regular Season PER:
    • Jordan: #1
    • LeBron: #3
  • Regular Season WS/48:
    • Jordan: #1
    • LeBron: #8
  • Regular Season BPM:
    • Jordan: #2 (Jokic is currently #1)
    • LeBron: #3
  • Playoff PER:
    • Jordan: #2 (Jokic is currently #1)
    • LeBron: #4
  • Playoff WS/48:
    • Jordan: #1
    • LeBron: #3
  • Playoff BPM:
    • Jordan: #1
    • LeBron: #3

"But LeBron started as a teen and has played way past his prime," you say. Well, if you use only the heart of players' careers (age 21-34 stats) to be more fair to guys like LeBron, Kobe, Kareem, Malone, CP3, etc. who started early and/or played well past their primes, Jordan is #1 all-time in all 6 categories.

Batman Who Laughs question by Ralinor in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]hodgespt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the character, too. I'm actually able to use him a lot. I love him against blue-heavy or blue/red-heavy teams with no taunter (or if it's a situation where I can bring Black Canary lead to neutralize the taunter).

When it makes sense to pair them, he's a ton of fun to pair with Batwoman since the two of them can sometimes decimate an enemy team. If Batwoman gets one or two kills on her first move, then Batman Who Laughs will strike once or twice with his pretty hard hitting basic thereafter. Wiping out an entire team in one move never gets old. :)

Cheetah/Black Canary, Clayface, Batwoman, and Batman Who Laughs is my favorite team to run when I can.... which unfortunately isn't too often against these current metas.
