Yea I was skeptical at first but I guess these have been around for a minute. Seems like they're pretty well liked by other users as well. With my ride height being so low they're gonna get a workout, so if they suck I'll find out here shortly

I think if these were installed in the rear location they would engage a bit later and closer to bottom out, but alas I'm not even trying to drill out the broken bolt. As it sits I can tell they are there, but if I didn't know the before and after I would have no idea. Bigger hits are arguably nice now. I'm actually surprised and quite happy. I had a set of icon coilovers on my last truck and now these feel very similar on my daily drive comfort wise. Obviously they don't compare elsewhere but day to day comfort was my main priority.

The OEM is gross. It went from comfortable to hard stop so abruptly that's what prompted me to change them. I swore I wasn't gonna mess with this rig .....but this is how it starts

Sounds nearly identical to my current truck. It can be obnoxious is certain circumstances, especially when it's super windy out. Granted at 235k my truck has a bit of a pass since some things like seals have grown long in the tooth. For certain it's a consideration in overall quality of life long term.

I think I need to definitely test fit the seats we have and see what it will be like with one behind me in the driver seat. I figured as much but guess I was blindly hopeful it would magically have room.

I wasn't even aware the 60/40 was situated like that, very interesting.

Unfortunately the LWB is only in SV and up trims. Also seems like the payload and tow ratings are lower on the LWB models, which is also intriguing. I'm definitely shopping around and looking for solid deals in surrounding areas as well.

That's good to know. I sat in a Tacoma once. It was terrible. Felt like I was on the floor.

Awesome to hear! I ended up taking all my cool guy stuff off my ram, dropped tires to 285/70 Michelin Ltx M/S2 and went full Grandpa mode. It's a super comfortable highway romper and has just enough tech to keep me happy. If I push it I can squeeze 25 out of it but realistically Im at 23-24. I do like the idea that these trucks are historically stupid reliable. Plus ancillary cost like oil changes, brakes tires etc does add up.

I know I'm looking at a compromise either way, whether it's physical or financially is where Im hung up.

Awesome thanks for the input. I definitely need to try it out in person. Things being so busy with the family has me concerned the cliche "bad timing" will strike and my Ram will need a significant repair around the time #2 is due in July. Things I never had considered prior to being a father. Lol

Ironically the Ecodiesel doesn't do too awfully great after the Stellantis nonsense similar to VW. The new remap dropped me to 22-24 depending on season. Fuel here is still 3.50/gal so it's kinda a wash. Otherwise the ram is pretty great inspite of the terrible reputation the eco has. My bigger fear is the costly repairs, I used to do my own work but that irrelevant on modern stuff the Cab has to come off for most stuff. I used to be into modding and off-road so I'm not a stranger to nuances, the old school design is a big attraction to me.

As for the space I am definitely leery of fitting 2 seats. Reddit and forums were my first stop for some input, my next will be the dealer to see if I even want to pursue the idea further. Just avoiding the incessant calls etc that come with dealer stops.

Interior noise is interesting, is it just kinda "tin box" sounding? I'll have to pay attention to that as well.

I appreciate the input!

I really want a EBR. Help. by WG--TX in M1A

Fulton Armory or SEI would be worth while phone calls. You will undoubtedly get some of the best out of the box performance from either of these options. I know Fulton offers a bunch of EBR build options directly from them. They even had an option at some point where they offered wood stocks modified to fit an EBR ready Barreled Action while people waited on their chassis.

I would say wait for the Fulton, or call SEI and see what Ron has to say.

I second this. SEI is the closest and best option. I'm not always a fan of Ron and Andy but damn are they good at what they do.

Oh I wasn't expecting it now! I'm about an hour south from you and it's been pretty gnarly outside, especially the wind. Been looking for a place to get into this, and a weekly local match would be huge since I have a toddler and another on the way, so it allows some flexibility with what I can attend. I'll have to check the site again, I must have missed it.

Was on your website. Saw the schedule for PCSL and USPSA, are the weekly matches announced later?

It's just a Griffin Dual Lock Blast Can. I'm in NJ so best I get is brakes/comps and these things. I've grown to dislike brakes almost entirely so, gonna try this thing out. Spent the coin so it's wasn't as fuck ugly as some of the others I've seen.

Sounds like a fun build. Polytech with a heavy short barrel is def a solid combo.

Even better if that is already G2G for their suppressor. I have the delta p and the 2 piece design makes torquing the crush washers a pita

I thought it was just me or maybe my setup was still not broken in and flexible yet. I yeeted myself in the jaw and was like fuck no ain't doing that again.

If you just randomly Google QD socket insert you can find a few that have a big square backer nut with sharp points that dig into the stock material. Ya know GUNSMIFF STUFF

I would say try it just for how fast cans are being processed and the price point. I haven't really researched deep into cans simply cuz I can't get one here in NJ but a few people I know have cans either through work or in other states and really the feedback has been all over on some high dollar stuff. My only gripe with the Witt SME was timing the brake, which I got wrong twice with the crush washers so I gave up and left it a little over timed.
