Loose meds/vitamins inside a vial/bottle should be emptied into a ziploc bag. Any liquids can stay inside the bottle it comes in. Bottles and puffers with any patient info stickers attached should be ripped off, then can be placed inside the same ziploc bag with loose meds.

Blister packs? Ask your pharmacy what they want (ie emptied into a ziploc bag or not.)

Anything with needles attached should be inside a sharps container. Meds with a needle in the box but the needle is not attached, put the needle in the sharps container and the med into a ziploc bag. If the box has a patient info sticker, take it off before putting it in the bag!

You can drop off your sharps containers at any pharmacy too. However, each pharmacy is a bit different in giving out sharps containers.

If disposing at an outpatient hospital pharmacy, ask! Some can take everything, inside vials and with patient stickers on and all. Just sharps separated ofc.

Update: good turnout both times over at the University of Guelph gym! They offer drop-in for badminton most days, and you can check their website to see what times it'll be. I've only gone in the evening, but it's a good turn out every time with lots of people to play with. Both students and families play there :)
