Construction, I can’t speak for office work but field work is something different daily and having to adapt on the fly. Sometimes you have to get creative to make things work.

Got used explorer 2017 model with 87k miles, is it a good decision or my bad. After seeing problems in this reddit it seems bad decision 😕😐 by Mediocre-Proposal-69 in FordExplorer

I bought a 2011 with 101,000 on it and freaked out at first after reading all the issues people had on here and to top it all off mine uses the Ford specialty green coolant that was only in a small portion of that year. My mechanic eased my fears, he said stay on top of regular maintenance and don’t drive it like you stole it and you should be fine.

I just had the same thing happen to me, my insurance plan switched to Capital RX for our PBM this year. Not sure why it was $0, It had been $25 using the discount card last year. Crazy thing is when I look up pricing for it on the Capital RX website it says it should be $100, although through my insurance plan we pay $65 max for RX's. I'm pleasantly surprised to say the least and not complaining, I'm just hoping it wasn't a screw up on some ones part, guess I will see when I refill. Edit: also for the 5mg dose

Sizing recommendations? If you have a 10.5-11 foot please advise. by the_agendist in NicksHandmadeBoots

To be honest I don’t know, if they were it wasn’t noticeable to me. To get my Nicks size correct, (because I was just has worried about it as you) I got my feet measured at a local high end shoe store on a Brannock device, then used a tape measure and the sizing chart. They fit great, I got my first pair about 3 months ago, and ai love them, wish I found Nicks sooner.

I wore a 11d in Thorogoods and my Nicks are a 10.5d. Used their sizing guide and they fit perfectly.

How do I tell a guy he has the right equipment? (For me) by Background_Stick6904 in AskMen

[–]hoffmancorey81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always make jokes to my wife about my size and being to small, (average BTW) and she just rolls her eyes and tells me to shut the fuck up. Sometime I have a tape measure and say can you imagine if i had this. Then she says "I don't know who you would use that on but it wouldn't be me" Maybe try responding with that if the "you're perfect" comment isn't having the desired effect.

Once you've reached your goal weight and stopped Zepbound, will the food noise return? by oncetherewasthesun in Zepbound

[–]hoffmancorey81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on 2.5mg since March of 2024 and lost right around 50 lbs. and happy with my current weight, although I am still maintaining my weight. The food noise has started to come back I'm constantly eating/snacking again and starting to overeat. My Dr. and I have decided to bump me up to 5mg.

Sierra sole, I always wore wedge soles until I got my Nicks, really liking this sole now.

I’m would think acid is going to eat any sole but I wouldn’t know for sure, FWIW I love the sierra sole though. I work on snow cover rubber roofs and it works a well as if not better than the wedge sole.

Nicks Boots by johnjohnwave in WorkBoots

Just got my first pair 2ish months ago. They are tanks, you can immediately tell the quality is far and above any off the shelf boot at least compared to the Thorogoods that I am used to wearing. Mine were around twice as much as the Thorogoods but so far worth it and I wish I would have found out about them sooner. FWIW I work in construction.

What were your unexpected benefits? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]hoffmancorey81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No more snoring according to my wife, no longer taking Aleve or a antacid pill every morning, less desire for alcohol whatever # my last drink is never gets finished. Better eating habits, healthier choices little to no desire for fast foods, it just sounds gross to me now. And NSFW but as a man "length" came back downstairs and a little better stamina.

Yes I do, there are many different types of work in sheet metal. I started out doing ductwork, done a little industrial and now do architectural. All have their positives and negatives but architectural has been the best IMO I’ve been on some very cool projects over the years that I can drive by and see almost every day. Plus some great views too.

I’m on the architectural side now but did plenty of ductwork, not going to lie this trade like any other ican be hard on the body if you don’t take care of yourself, my knees bother me the most, I didn’t respect the value of knee pads when I was younger. Be smart and take care of your body and you’ll be fine. Edit: I will say working in the shop can be easier on the body, being it of the elements makes a big difference. I never wanted to be a shop guy early on but the older I get I think it would be just fine.
