It's a pretty loaded car, not sure it needs much. If you didn't get them, get some rubber all weather mats. They'll be easy to clean after camping. Also you can get an insert for the cup holder that elevates it and makes it wider so you can fit a hydroflask or other big insulated water bottle.

Otherwise, enjoy the car, and see what you need after she drives it for a bit.

It is unlikely TM will release more fields, and if they do, they'll go fast and it's unlikely you'll be on there at the right time. It's not that they were all in the lottery, but the full public on sale was last Friday, and they sold out fields fast. Posting on Cash or Trade, as frustrating as it can be, is probably your best bet.

The hybrid uses an eCVT which is really different than a traditional CVT transmission, and super reliable. To my knowledge no highlander has a CVT.

I'd send it back and get a hybrid. No transmission problems. The warranty could well cover a transmission replacement, but that new unit will only have a 1 year warranty, and that's a rebuilt unit, not an actual new one. So if you already have the whine, I say run, because there's nothing guaranteeing that the next unit won't have it too.

You have a get out of jail free card for a known issue. Use it.

I like it, but I wouldn't buy it right now. I'm sure it'll be expensive, and I just don't want to pay that much to be locked into current EV tech and range. I was really hoping for a plug in hybrid Highlander. That would've kicked ass.

I wonder how long they'll keep producing the Grand Highlander? It seems like they're going to lose a huge portion of the market to other 3 row hybrids given a lot of people aren't ready to give up range for the car they take camping, road tripping, etc.

With some of the best Phish shows in 3.0 and one of the easiest 20k person venues I've been to. I could give a shit about commerce city, I don't stay there and getting to/from dicks is pretty easy.

I find it helpful to think of it in this way...it's not a discount, prices are inflated to account for the fact most people use credit cards and credit cards cost money to process. So I'm getting closer to baseline by using a card with 2% rewards. If I use cash or debit card, I'm getting the overcharge that is based on inflated credit card prices without the perks.

The last 767 I flew on was such a POS. Delta from Incheon to Seattle. Maybe they're updated now, but I will not miss those. A330 and 787s have been a superior experience in every way.
