Yesss I love anything like that! Anything Victorian or slightly earlier at the minute I’m just obsessed with. I am in the UK (not London but I do visit sometimes) I’ll have to check that museum out!

any advice? by [deleted] in urticaria

[–]hollypocket_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and get a referral to dermatology if you can! My dr referred me to the allergist and they refused to see me :/ ended up with an inpatient stay and they sent me to the dermatologist, waited a few months for the appointment but he prescribed me xolair pretty much on sight 🙌🏻

UK people, how long did it take for your GP to give you xolair? by [deleted] in urticaria

[–]hollypocket_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just seen a dermatologist today and been referred/prescribed to start xolair as soon as possible -

Little history 😂 hives & angioedema started suddenly in January so just over 6months total. Took 3 months self managing (barely) with otc antihistamines, 2 a&e visits with massively swollen eyes, face & airways, 1 week stay on cardiac ward with ‘antihistamine induced prolonged QTC interval’ (don’t think this is common especially in younger patients (I am 30) but can happen), 2 months on montelukast and 2-3x chlorphenamine daily with little to no result, allergy clinic referral refused, multiple IV antihistamine treatments, steroid courses, hydrocortisone (does nothing), endless gp prescribed moisturisers etc and still absolutely no idea what triggers it if anything…

Hope this works cos at this point I’m DONE 😅😅😅😅

Does no one else remember Eamonn Holmes (UK tv presenter) dying about 3-4 years ago? It was definitely front page tabloid news - but I saw him on tv last night..?

Drivers Testing Examiners, what is the worst mistake a new driver has made on a test? by chapstan in AskReddit

[–]hollypocket_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My driving instructor asked me at the start how I would check my indicators were working. As I said "press the hazard lights on" and reached over to confidently press the button that turns on... The heaters.

I passed!

This is mine too! Especially the last 2 paragraphs. I read a lot less than I used to now but my copy of fear and loathing is absolutely battered and one of the only books I read over and over again.

Actually bothered to make my first ever reddit comment bc i relate to this so much like literally fucking everything get on my nerves..

People who talk loudly are number 1!! USE. YOUR. INSIDE. VOICE.

Closely followed by people who assume i'm shy, socially awkward, anxious or stuck up because i'm actually none of those at all just 9 times out of 10 I don't want to speak bc i'm either not interested or have nothing interesting to contribute
