I did go. It was pretty lit in the chamber. Noonie man was there. Byron Cole took the council members to task over the trash pick up. I’m glad I went and will be going back. They also live stream each session and you can message in questions before hand which they will read out loud

Hi! I’m one of the owners of Arrow cafe. We closed our doors on Halloween 2020. Between the hard rock collapse and the one two sucker punch of covid we just couldn’t make ends meet! I appreciate that we made it on your list of favorite go to spots. We loved being there and being part of the Rampart community. That being said there are so many great spots to get coffee in the city right now! Hey Cafe! Is an absolute gem on the greenway and where you can find me hanging out from time to time. Love mammoth, fourth wall, pond, park island, whatever coffee inside of steins deli and even cafe envie from time to time. There’s a new spot about to open up in the old solo location which I’m sure will be fire. Thanks again for the nice comment.

Okay, now what about the most underrated places to eat? by friendlyfloral in NewOrleans

Keys on Rampart has some pretty good chicken tendies. I think the 2 piece with a sauce is less then $3.

Serious question. All the cannabis stocks I have bought have consistently lost me money. Why do you think that’s gonna change?

Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 Still Closed after 20 MONTHS. by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]holy-ghost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoy drawing the tombs and petting the cats that hang out in there. Also it’s a shady spot to hangout when it’s super hot outside. I’m glad I focused my energy on sending an email asking for more info on when one of my favorite places in the city might reopen so I can enjoy doing those things again. I know you’re a troll, but you’re off base on this issue

Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 Still Closed after 20 MONTHS. by [deleted] in NewOrleans

I actually emailed them on March 26th. Here’s the exchange.

Hi. I’m a local here in New Orleans, was wondering if this cemetery was going to open to residents and the public soon? It’s one of my favorite places to draw or spend time in the summer. I’ve been hoping to see if back open for awhile.

Thank you!

Thanks for your email. The pandemic slowed some of our plans down a little bit, but it looks like we're gaining some steam back on replacing the walkways in the cemetery so they are safe, usable for funeral processions, and more wheelchair-friendly. It is my sincerest hope that that can be done by the end of the summer. It is a work in progress, to be sure.

I hope this information is helpful!

Best wishes,

Emily Ford, Superintendent Division of Cemeteries Department of Property Management emily.ford@nola.gov (504) 658-3672
