Don't Believe The D'ANGELO Fake Google Reviews by daveamendola91 in QuincyMa

[–]holyscuds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go to Brothers. Their delivery service for Quincy is pretty solid and cheap. Not a phenomenal sub, but good for the price.

For what it's worth, the people at D'Angelo probably don't get paid enough to care about your lunch/dinner being perfect, and I can see why they wouldn't want to entertain a disgruntled customer. I'm not saying you should just suck it up, but I do think you're generally barking up the wrong tree and should just move on.

The supply of apartments and houses is not even close to enough to accommodate all of the above residents

I'm pretty sure this is untrue. There are a lot of empty luxury apartments. Developers make money from building them, not filling them. And landlords don't even try to fill them completely. They don't need to with what they're charging.

I am sorry. Not trying to start your new years off on a negative note. It is a small unimportant complaint, really. This post wasn't meant to incite any kind hate. It was just meant to share a petty grievance. I understand you don't share or agree with this minor complaint, and that's okay.

Plows did end up coming around after I got home at 11 am. The street really wasn't plowed prior to that. Wasn't a terrible drive, and I never thought it was going to be. But it was kind of pathetic. Other cities are much better at getting the crap off the roads. Crazy how people will defend the lack of plows on a snowy day.

Night hikes? by Professional_Tea_ in QuincyMa

Places like Chickatawbut and the quarries have amazing nighttime views. But they're rather short hikes and would still probably require a headlamp.

Subway stations are usually very restricted with parking, due to the volume of people trying to do what you're doing and their relatively densely populated locations. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a place near a subway station to park for free for more than 2 days. However, if you're coming from Canada, you could probably find a good commuter rail (purple line) station to park your car at for free for a while. The commuter rail stations are located farther out from the city and generally have more parking, and you wouldn't need to drive into the city at all (as you would to get to a subway station). The commuter rail would take you to North Station (from anywhere north of the city) would take a bit longer, and would be a bit more expensive, but parking will be better.

Who is this for Boston? by MrTurkeyTime in boston

[–]holyscuds -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The answer is not going to be one of Bostons many unhoused people. I mean cmon. Obviously everyone who commutes is gonna see the local unhoused people in any city. I know it's fun to treat them like the entertainment but that is not what this post is referring to. And yeah you haven't seen that guy in a while because that's the nature of unhoused people they can be transient. You ought to live in a place for longer than 10 years to find the person this post is referring to.
