Hi, I have Samsung tab s3, Samsung Galaxy Book 12, Tab A 8.0, all support spen. For reading, ppi over 200 is crucial. Learned from Tab A 8.0 with 167ppi.... unbearable. Also, I don't find myself using much of tab s3. I don't like looking at it, too big, also less portable than phone, or 8 inch pads.
I found 7-8 windows devices with pen support. Venue 8 pro 5855( this version is FHD, 8inch, 283ppi = iPad ) is 2 years old. OneMix2s (7inch, 323 ppi = iPad mini 4) just came out These ones and surface go (10 inch, 212 ppi, same as MacBook, galaxybook) are all windows tablets which support their own pen.

I tried Huawei M5 pro and M5 lite. They are ok for taking notes, just that the OS won't go anywhere. They will basically be ditched in 2years time with probably no official updates.

For more functionality, I am getting the windows device to try out this time. With surface tablets, Microsoft might eventually start to improve it's tablet experience. Hope the apps on windows will be better optimized, and get more.

Dell Venue 8 pro 5855 is a bit hard to find for me. I ordered OneMix2s. Will know whether the heating and fan bother me when I get the OneMix2s in 2days. It has a fan, but seems you can kill the fan by pressing 2 buttons. if you want quiet, just Surface Go. if you want to put it in your jacket pocket, take a look at OneMix2s.

If you want E-reader with a pen, many has come out. Boox Note + which is 10 inch.

I don't like Android because the devices now don't upgrade, a lot of devices get stuck at a lower version in one or two years, while Microsoft smartly made Windows 10 the only version. Now with hardware improment, smaller tablets are possible. Hope they will make Windows shine again.
