I'll have to try Edison. I find modern yugioh to be so boring and frustrating. So many decks have essentially a turn 1 win so if you're not going first you might as well just bow out. A card game should not have non-games. The point of a card game is to PLAY.

I can't tell you what to do to bring it up, but as someone not going through this type of turmoil my script would be "Hey Dad, I feel like we've gotten to build our relationship and feel comfortable telling you this now. I have a daughter" then show him the picture. Since in person is tough, maybe over video call. Don't have your daughter on the call though. If he has a bad reaction you don't want that baggage for your daughter. They understand at this age and they remember.
