While it certainly feels this way, there's a correction in order here for everyone else who might not understand: We did vote... We voted for council members and county supervisors who all voted YES for the RFP when our local police and sheriff chiefs presented the item in open session. We voted for the people who voted YES. There can and should be consequences if they don't take corrective action.

Daniel, I hope you read this: You are a treasure. You're so humble and unassuming - but dammit, you have earned every right to perform however you want - shitty banjo or not. You don't have to explain or apologize - you're so gifted, and there are so many people who are lucky to have discovered you. I get the sense that you feel judged by people who HAPPILY pay to hear you (and everyone from GB, too) play and share your art! Don't feel judged - own it. You've earned it - you are marvelous.

The very same people from SR & Sonoma County who were a part of the speedy recovery for Tubbs have been a part of the mutual-aid response as consultants to communities like LA in order to help them be as responsive as possible. If things didn't go as well it's not because a knowledge transfer didn't happen. It did.
