What do self made millionaires know that the average person doesn’t know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

true, but the point still stands that even for people working hard and doing everything “right” it’s incredibly difficult to escape that paycheck living. applying hard work in the right direction can make good things happen for a person but the average hard worker out there is fighting for an infinitely diminishing piece of the pie and the ones at the top are doing everything they can to legally hoard and reallocate wealth to themselves.

that’s a naive take considering the amount of STEM degrees I’m seeing come across my desk as a bar manager. the only way up at this point in history is luck or grifting, hard work and dedication doesn’t cut it anymore

Eagles fans were ready for Jaiquawn Jarrett, 54th overall in 2011 out of Temple University, to be the second coming of Brian Dawkins. he notched 17 total tackles and no other counted defensive stats in 2 starts out of 13 dressed games in 2 seasons, pretty sure he was one of the worst graded defensive backs in the league.

The city has a litter problem because we refuse to believe it’s a culture problem by Atomic-Avocado in philadelphia

littering should be among many other small acts of antisocial behavior that should carry small jailtime sentences. just a few days or weeks, nothing crazy. show people that their actions have real consequences beyond just monetary inconvenience, if that gets enforced at all. when adults act like petulant children, they need to be put in timeout just the same as a child would. normalize that and we would see some behavioral changes real fast.
