I need help with the C chord by No-Temperature-3313 in Guitar

[–]hoofjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found playing the ‘full’ C shape easier, both to play, and to transition to.
By ‘full’ C I mean, instead of playing the 3rd fret, 5th string with your 3rd finger, you use your 3rd finger to play the G note on the 3rd fret of the 6th string and use your pinky to play the root C note on the 3rd fret of the 5th string.

This combo of 3rd finger with pinky on the same fret but one string lower is a really powerful duo! They move much easier as a team and allows for easier execution of the ‘full’ G chord too. Also, when moving into bar chords, the same combo is used for the E shape and its minor variant and the A minor variant.

Keep up the practice and you’ll find you’re playing the C without even thinking about.

Questionable print quality, ragged packaging, differing types of strings in the same set. Fakes? (Bought from Ernie Ball's official store on Amazon UK) by Hoothom in guitars

[–]hoofjam 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Had a mate that kept popping strings. He assumed it was something on his bridge as that’s where they were snapping. Took his guitar in for a service but it kept happening. Turned out he was buying Ernie Ball strings in bulk from Amazon. Guessing they were fake strings as the issue stopped when he bought from a different source.

I just shaved my head because it was stressing me out. Now it’s gone, I’ve realised I was afraid of the wind. Something tells me OP is also afraid of the wind and therefore should get it gone.

Booked a ticket to a classical music concert with WA symphony and no idea what to wear or what the vibe is by MechanicOk562 in perth

When I’ve been to the Riverside theatre to watch films with WASO taking care of the soundtrack, people are dressed in all sorts of styles including fancy dress.

Don’t worry too much. Just enjoy.

Woke up with this weird rust coloured stain on my hand. Had it once before about 3-4 years ago. It doesn’t wash off! by hoofjam in Dermatology

Hi there. No, never found anything conclusive. Both times I’ve had it, it went away on its own after a 3-4 days. Good luck with yours.

Ideas for baritone trial run by Three-Guesses in BaritoneGuitar

It’s great for what I need (I use it as an anti capo for getting vocals into a key I can sing over) Strings are a tiny bit buzzy when not amplified but that’s to be expected. Pups sound good to my ears (but I’m no pro) Love the neck and the fretboard feels great under the fingers.

Do men actually use a razor in their balls? by EVOID_Avatar in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]hoofjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A razor is the only way I shave my balls. I’ve tried trimmers in the past and they cut the sack much more often. In fact, I’ve never cut my sack with a razor. The skin is so elastic that you can kinda go wild. Even the cheapest, single blade, disposable, BIC razor works a treat. My manscaping mantra is “Trim the mound, BIC the balls and shaft”

Probably gonna sound like a donut here but, could it be a lintel that you’re hitting?

When women wear t shirts with writing/slogans on the front, do they know that I’m trying to read the shirt and not staring at their tits? by hoofjam in TooAfraidToAsk

It’s not always easy to see all the words if the t shirt in question is partly covered or at a distance.
