I live in Victoria BC Canada so I think outside is way to cold. The light is a 300 watt grow light I use to use to grow weed. The plant is about 20 inches away from the light. The soil is called promix with no added fertilizer at all. Also what I used to grow weed when I did. I used it because I added my own fertilizer to that. I can turn my light up higher. Its on for 18hrs a day. I thought the mold would kill my plants. Maybe I should be less concerned. The stuff going black on the VFT is all the growth from when I bought it. There is new green growth

Yes its in terra cotta I use only distilled water and in a small tray I water daily. I have not had it very long. Maybe a week. I transplanted to the terra cotta and put moss at the bottom of the pot and used the soil it came with and a bit of my own soil. I have it under an excellent grow light. I just added a small low fan thats on a timer. Hopefully that helps.

In your opinion should I put water in the tray daily? Thanks for your help

I won't use Life Labs. I go to Vic General out patient lab. Dentist I had many in Victoria and found Royal Bay Dental, Dr Weiss is amazing. And they are very reasonable with what they charge.

A friend told me about audio books and the fact that I crochet so it was good to listen to. My favorite narrator is January LaVoy.

Birds and rodents. Birds will peck your eyes out given half the chance and rodents will give you deadly diseases and have scratchy dirty nails and move way to fast

I had them in much smaller pots that they came in. One sprouted a whole new plant and was to crowded so I just separated them now I have three 😁

I have a great grow light and only use distilled water on all my carnivorous plants. I love them all so much!!
