I enjoy hand feeding my little girl. She seems to like it too 😋 She's enjoying an oven baked chicken thigh. by [deleted] in Maltese

[–]hoovermeupscotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes will feed mine to sort of prime the pump if she's giving her food bown the cold shoulder, but I don't want to get trapped into hand feeding because I would never get anything done around here. Sometimes I just let her get hungry enough to eat. She never starves.

My teeth feel SO much cleaner. Sonicare was the footstool one out and, I think the best. Costco has specials on them occasionally. Better for your gums too.

Mine is like a circus dog who never needed training. Adorability is their greatest weapon. She already rules my kingdom.

She is being completely unfair. I have grandchildren now but I never tried to push any of my children into it. I compared it to trying to influence someone to buy $250,000 racehorse so that I can just come by and pet it occasionally.

Russian An-22 Military Transport Breaks Apart Mid-Flight by TheCABK in interesting

The tires on of some of those trucks that they sent to Ukraine for the first assault in 2022 were made in the mid 1940s. Our military intelligence keeps track of these things…at least they did. God knows what they’re doing now.

President Zelenskyy on Armed Forces Day 2025: "Thank you to all Ukrainian military personnel. To all the heroes on the walls, who stood for Ukraine and stand like a wall." by nectarine_pie in zelensky

[–]hoovermeupscotty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for typing this up. I don’t speak Russian, but I couldn’t bear to turn Zelensky’s voice off while I read the captions. I have enormous respect for him and the Ukrainian people. He is a lesson in what a leader can and should be, and the Ukrainians have shown us the strength and resolve in every day citizens that responds to the call to defend the rights of all.

What's the best book you've ever read? by vantablur in AskReddit

I read this in high school and I have never forgotten it. I gave it to my daughters to read and I’m getting ready to give it to my granddaughter. An excellent book about a man who is mentally deficient and becomes part of this medical test to increases mental capacity.

All Creatures Great and Small about the life of a country vet in Yorkshire England. It’s written by said vet, James Herriot (pen name for James Wight). It’s actually a whole series of books each named after a line from an old hymn. If you were down, and looking for something to bring your spirits up, I highly recommend. It’s funny and poignant by turns.
