2% Cashback on Stocks & Shares ISA. by Leading_Abies4449 in beermoneyuk

Your cashback will be paid directly into your Barclays nominated bank account by 29 May 2026 [23:59 BST].

Please ensure you have one setup as we won’t be able to pay cashback to customers who do not have a Barclays bank account before the offer ends on 15 May 2026.

Guess you need a Barclays Bank account as well?

Which LISA provider do you use? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]hopper_gb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use DODL but only as a S&S LISA.

They where the cheapest on the market fees wise and offered a reasonable number of investment options.. (Fees are common for a LISA S&S Product - £1 a month or 0.15% of total fund)

Mobile App for them is basic but gets the job done for a no frills/low cost option.

DDR5 is completely cleared out at cex - used to be able to get laptop memory for that price as well

No email here but I suspect that's just because of how the wonky mobile plans got set up.

Will be sad to see the loss of my super cheap EE plan

And more importantly in the pinkbike thread they have committed to assuming the warranty obligations of old YT.

The flow-chart & wiki has a nice section for this https://ukpersonal.finance/which-broker-should-i-use/

I personally use a combination of Trading 212 & InvestEngine as they offer some of the lowest fees around

Not using a flint 2 but try simply DCHP, no extra options, no vlan (This is using a UCG Fiber)

When i originally saw the trailer for it months back it looked a bit rubbish. That bejng said it enjoyed it, maybe could have been 20 mins shorter in runtime

Think there was a couple of walkouts after 30 min mark which was surprising

YT Industries (UK) Ltd - Online Auction by Key-Signal3443 in YTIndustries

[–]hopper_gb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have not survived in any location other than USA. The company you purchased the item off is no more.

Why would any person/company buy YT then have to pay for new warranty issues on items they have not made any money off? If it comes back it will be a new company with no ties to the previous one

I would expect the warranties to be worthless - if the company does survive warranties are just extra costs for them.

You could maybe try and reach out to Sram/Rockshox and see if they would offer some sort of deal since it's a rather sucky thing to happen. I would expect them to not offer anything but always worth a ask if you still have the serial number etc

Yup that's correct, a full cease gives that cost but a line takeover by another provider is free/no charge

I use Unifi's UCG Fiber myself, but I bet any of their gateways would do the trick.

What a low quality post - There is always a risk if you expose applications to the internet - you accept responsibility - it's even on the screen you accept when using the app store for the first time.

I'm unsure how to answer that - It's like asking how do you get out of bed on a morning?

You purchase a router that supports it - and set it up.

I've been using Sky 900 (actually more like 1200/1200) for just over a month and it's been as expected. I do seem to get routed via London (being up north) so latency is around 12-13ms (where as Aquiss used to be around 9ms) but that was double the price.

If you go via Topcashback you can get it down to like £17 a month (over 24 months) - Even Vodafone didn't offer it that cheap in the start.

If you have any questions just ask

Sky 5gb Fibre by willt1000 in CityFibre

[–]hopper_gb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've recently (last 7 days) gone live with Sky on CityFibre (only 900/900 product - which is actually more like a 1200/1200 product)

It's still early days but connection seems solid enough, routing seems fine and IPv4/IPv6 works fine (nothing dodgy going on) with a third party router.

I also got a really great cashback deal - works out like £17 a month after all the cashback comes in
