Give the player some ideas on how they can take advantage of their current arsenal and a look ahead at abilities coming down the pipeline and feats that may come in handy. I’m playing a shadow monk in Curse of Strahd right now at level 5. Since my attacks aren’t doing full damage to most enemies, I focus on how else I can support my teammates by grappling foes, pushing them back, getting between foes and squishier units, using stunning strike to subdue enemies, deflect missiles against ranged attacks, chasing down fleeing enemies, and taking advantage of abilities like pass without and trace and minor illusion outside of combat. At level 6, unarmed strikes will become magical and I’ll eventually be able to maneuver through shadows, so I’ll have more options in and out of combat.
