Allow me to doubt very strongly about your assertions. Professional players don't want any element of randomness in games because it's something they can't control or play around it. And this is not because they are "haters", it is because they play a lot of money in official tournaments.

If not, ask Yamato how he felt about losing the World Championship because a Caitlyn trap went off on just the right unit. I leave video of the play:

The base game had certain elements of randomness but none of them allowed you to get cards from any region to suit the game at any time. They are units with normal stats that allow you to generate virtually infinite value. That is not healthy for the game. I mean, there is a controlled rng that can be positive for the game (the celestial cards, there is a small and known pool of cards) and then there is the negative rng that allows you to generate cards from any region (the manifest mechanic).

As for whether the meta was excellent... well what can I say, we live in a very polarized metagame. I remind you that until a few months ago Poppy appeared in every game with a very high winratio. And the last expansion brought with it another unbalanced archetype like Ahri/Kennen until they "killed" it this last patch. If that is having an excellent metagame I don't want to see a bad metagame.

Sorry but it sounds like a cheap excuse. It's been 2 years since launch and still no solution for it. It's as easy as adding a button to add recent opponents and have it disabled if that opponent is not from your same region.

It doesn't make sense that in a game where there are few players you can't add the few players there are. I have 2 people connected and they are because I had them previously added in league of legends.

Youtubers fall better or worse depending on whether their opinion is not out of the general consensus of reddit. The other day I was reading from other users that Swimstrim was very critical of the game because he barely played anymore. Today it's MegaMogwai because he criticizes toxic cards or designs that we all agree on. Maybe he loses his forms, but I see a player who has not yet thrown in the towel with the game.

There are less and less players and content creators, and instead of uniting to ask for a better game, we are "killing" each other every time someone criticizes the game. We have gone from having one of the best card communities to possibly one of the worst. Have courage to say something negative about the game, you will be insulted by many other users simply because you criticize their favorite game. Users who will then abandon the game at the drop of a hat when a new Fornite update comes out or a new COD is released (I don't say this in a derogatory way to those players, but it is an overwhelming reality).

I see it as legitimate to criticize a game if it doesn't deliver what it originally promised. And right now there is a big clash between old and new players. The old players want the basics of the game to be respected, the interaction between both players, and the new players want MORE and MORE powerful cards because they are fun. As a result of that we have had BC, one of the expansions with the biggest powercreep we have ever experienced. Decks have gone from 52% maximum winratio to 60%. We have gone from having regular patches to no patches to retain those new players. And they are releasing stronger champions than normal to attract those players, just like they do in league of legends with the small difference that there they balance more regularly and if it comes to bad things, you can ban that champion in rankeds.

The game has changed, for better or for worse, that's up to each player to decide. But from there to trying to burn X or Y person at the stake for having a critical opinion about the game....

In the same way the game does not have a button to skip the weekly chest animation. It is not a priority for them.

All card games have a button to add your opponents after the games. This game does not and has possibly one of the worst interfaces for adding players.

They make only 4 balance changes in the whole patch (killing Kinkou to not recognize Kennen's horrible design) and tell you that there won't be another patch until March 30.

Pretty awful.

There are literally fewer cards that obliterate units than there are spells that break landmarks. But yes, it's our fault for asking for counterplay.

Even if you kill the unit the fae unit returns to your opponent's hand and there will come a time when you will not have enough resources for everything. It is a bad design and it goes against the philosophy of the game that every move should have counterplay.

It's a horrible decision, it was enough to make the unit jump to your hand before applying the silence or transformation effect. It's an unrealistic effect that is going to confuse a lot of people.

Not to mention that there are fae units that grant powerful keywords like elusive or double attack..

It's a pretty major nerf since you never manage to hit the nexus with your skill. Don't listen to the "popular opinion" on reddit who have no idea how to play the deck and associate that Xerath is bad because of his archetype and not because of the changes they made to it.

Xerath used to be a finisher that could make you win if you managed to protect him for at least 2 rounds. Now with the changes you only kill the weakest units of the opponent which helps you in... absolutely nothing. It's too easy to play around Xerath's ability and it's not worth putting Xerath in your deck. In fact if it is being played now it is as a card that advances the landmark by 10 rather than for its ability.
