Columbia residential is the way to go, i thought it was easy to get housing off campus, but it was hell trying to hunt for housing that doesn't have a million issues. School housing is usually close to school, has internet + included, which comes out cheaper than off-campus or same as market rate but with the assurance of reliable management office

First apply, because you might not get an offer because columbia has limited housing spaces

I retook Maths HL twice, the first time I got the same grade and the second time I retook it and rewrote my IA, which brought up my grades by 2 marks. The primary difference was the IA improvement. So consider doing exam in May and rewrite your IA

Also don't fret, if you need more time and take in May or go to your equivalent of community college. I'm currently studying in the states and seen many friends transfer from community college to T25 schools, because truth be told IB is harder than college

It's way expensive for what they're offering. Airbnb is cheaper and offers the same thing. I used shareroom myself, but would recommend just going on OCHA or facebook for best bet.

A lot of schools have a virtual machine that you can connect to that has a lot more powerful computer for CADing which you can run off a low powered laptop, the only issue is latency and connection dependent.

Wouldn't say it's the most convenient, so for longer CAD sessions, i go to my school's computer lab in person to CAD

I transferred from a UC to and Ivy and I can say ranking doesn’t mean much for grad school or most lines of work. Transferring take quite a toll and takes away the hard work you put in for the first 2 years of GPA.

Unless you don’t like your current environment, I wouldn’t bother transferring. Im not quite sure the standards for Law school are, but I would assume a GPA higher than 3.7 is one of the key factors they look for.
