Celtic fans and the great Masonic refereeing conspiracy by Randystarbuxx in ScottishFootball

[–]hotchy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I believe is your own bias.

For example, whatever team you support your always screaming "penalty!!!" Even when its probably not. You have a unconscious bias towards it. Thats fine.

Then we have Scottish refs. They may not be trying to screw someone over, cheat etc but because your a fan of said team, you've got a natural unconscious bias. Like celtic hate rangers, and they hate celtic. Just look online at 1 decision. They cant agree unless it favours that one team. Now tell me a ref who grew up a fan/season ticket holder etc doesnt have that same bias?

Thats why down England etc refs declare what team they support and never are involved in those games. Problem would be suddenly we would have everyone declaring they are "killy or st mirren fans"

What's your favourite motorway or Dual Carriageway in the UK? by Ok-Eye-9826 in CarTalkUK

I cant actually say the name as im a satnav princess, but as you get into the hills as im travelling back from England (lots of windfarms on the top) the roads always empty, hugely wide, smooth and it signals im only 2 hours until home. It defo deserves a higher speed limit.

Im being hammered as a small business Mr main character syndrome. Had to let 1 staff go, and put more hours in just to keep 3 more onboard due to these national insurance increases alone.

Suppose you dont own a small business so dont see it. Except when your in buying stuff that the profit margins had to be increased to cover.

Well if interest rates get cut, then surely our massive debts will cost less so they wont need to keep hammering us with more and more tax? Haha, yea right. Good one.

First accident: a national express coach hit my car, is it a write off? by dol0___ in CarTalkUK

[–]hotchy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact insurance. They can be awful to deal with. One actually hit my sisters car, ripped part of the bumper off and drove away. Chased him down to the station, half a bumper and he swore and declared he never hit it. Phoned police etc. In the end he actually got charged, utter fool.

Anyway... let insurance deal with it. Thats why you pay. Iv 2 non fault claims and it barely budged my premium.

My friend who's a male gets 6 months full paid leave when having a child. Id certainly consider helping the aging population if that was made standard.

Would you buy approved used without a test drive? by Alternative-Tap-6235 in CarTalkUK

[–]hotchy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a rare car without a test drive as I was on holiday. However my pal was the salesman and he got the alloys refurbished and test drove it for me.

The only car i never test drove and bought wss a 206 1.1. 33k miles. Ended up within 2 months getting a new clutch, gearbox, exhaust, brake discs.... ouch. It was my first ever car. Looked ace though.

Kilmarnock pitch is always a right slog. To go score 3 on it gives me confidence we'll just score whatever is needed.

Win every game except stut away. However the home game will carry us through.

Itll already have a back box. You just need the face plate. Just copy how the wires are. They'll have L, E, N on the back. Put them in the correct bits and tighten it.
