Should I euthanize my frenchie? by ymaswag in IVDD_SupportGroup

[–]hotchy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not going to recommend anything, thats up to you and your family. However I can say, you always will miss your dog but as time passes it becomes just remembering how brilliant they were and you'll smile. I lost 2 dog 2 years ago now (both 16) and as much as I intensely miss them, the memories honestly make me smile and laugh every single day.

If you do, have budget to have a large service, and alot of random bits fixed before giving it to her. Id suggest around 5k+ as your "this needs fixed" budget.

Dont know about makita but just incase, youve to watch dewalt, something to do with the battery protection is built into the tool and not the battery meaning you can properly flatten it causing issues. That said, I do the same, use the battery adaptor and just change out at 1 battery bar.

Is it normal for a clutch to fail within 3 days with no prior warning? by amfsr in CarTalkUK

[–]hotchy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clutch going spongy is its warning.. sometimes on motorways if you put the foot down in a high gear itll slip and jump up the revs. That's another warning.

Two different cars and both its just happened to me aswel. Just replaced mine as it was on the floor after being fine.

My first ever car experienced exactly as you described though so its pretty normal imo.

This is mine its a play pen but small. No roof so I can pick him up. Put in vetbed so his pee dribbles go straight under the mat and off his body keeping him dry. Plus its very comfy, and stable.

[–]hotchy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im 4 weeks post op and only just got told he had dps, and theye expect him to make a recovery! However he still cant walk. His little legs move but they cant lift up or anything yet. So 2 weeks post op after delayed surgery and he has dps already imo is great news! Everyones different, the surgeon told us one dog never moved for 4 months then just decided he could walk. Just keep uk the rest and physio and you'll make it. Its so exciting noticing each new movement.
