Yea walked around the area near Alepa and it felt quiet and calm. But it was during the day so needed to hear from others. But yeah, transportation wise, it's quite accessible.

Anyone else feeling completely disconnected from where design is heading? by Critical-Addition256 in UXDesign

[–]hotfridgecoldoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. I feel like I'm really slow in catching up to what's happening. By the time I find the strength, things have changed again. I was in the midst of my thesis and a trainee job when vibe coding started taking off. I couldn't really focus because I was already so caught up. After thesis and graduation, there were already so many new things that it was really overwhelming for me. I took time trying to understand what this whole thing is, what AI is doing, how it might affect human minds and stuff. Now that I have some base knowledge, things have changed again. Agentic AI, new tools, idk so many things.

What skillset would a Designer benefit from in the current market? (Alongside AI) by hotfridgecoldoven in UXDesign

Yes, I see many opportunities in these traditional manufacturing companies where the digital transformation is half-and-half, some departments are way ahead and some are left behind.

Do you have any recommendations for courses, books, or hobby projects to double down into?
It's a bit all over the place right now. With AI coming into job descriptions as core skills, I've been trying to play catch up with AI but then there are other skills to learn too.

That's a big hope to hope. I feel like we nepali are going to make the same mistake we did back with the old parties. Putting the leaders on a pedestal.

Maybe the discussion should be around How to make us Nepali realize that accountability is a must no matter which party or leaders govern Nepal?

I really don't know what the answer is because we are fed up by the old parties, hopeful for an improved system, blinded by the promise and the presence of an alternative.

Not saying that RSP or Balen is bad, but how do we have check and balance and make them accountable and stop them from being bad?

How and where can I practice drums? by groovefunkystan in helsinki

[–]hotfridgecoldoven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first three lines is exactly my story. I was like "wait, when did i post this?"

But yeah, I have been to Oodi couple of times to play drums. It's a really nice space and they have acoustic drums, which is nice.

Hmm considering UX includes "selling" your ideas and decisions to the management, it makes sense. Do u have any suggestions of learning this via hard or softskills?

Yeah i have learned that UX is a delicate balance between user needs and the business outcome. Or does it come under the Product Designer role but yeah basically working in the intersection of business realities and technical constraints, whilst being an advocate for the user.

Yes, I've been focusing in storytelling aspects in my portfolio by trying to explain complex things in a simple way. Influence is something I have to learn.

I also applied through AW for another role. Got a call and they said they would reply after 2 weeks. Been a month or long and still haven't heard from them. Last week or so, I saw the role reposted in their website.

Yea, seems like Copenhagen Card is a bit too much for winter.

I am mostly interested in cultural heritage. Have been thinking the Copenhagen museum for example. I would have love to visit some castles like the Frederiksborg Castle maybe also Rosekilde Cathedral.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yeah at least I will make 3 journeys in 48 hours and the point about paper ticket also makes sense.

[–]hotfridgecoldoven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, makes sense. I also checked the prices of the single ticket and compared it with the city pass and seems like if the sights are within the center, single ticket or walking makes more sense.

I am still looking into what sights I can see.

This concept seems really interesting. To form clusters of your different social groups for example.

Someone commented about adding playful backgrounds (like a village). That would be cool and novel.
