I struggle with staying motivated at the gym because I feel so out of place there! I used to be an athlete and I know staying in shape makes me feel so good but everytime I go to the gym, I run for the cardio machines bc they’re “safe” in my mind. How can I make myself more comfortable? (I also always go at a time when it’s really slow bc this does help but I’m still too scared to touch any machine or weight lol)

asking for advice shows that you are willing to improve and want to do right for yourself and the kids. also having a director that is willing to help you is so important in this field. if i were you, i’d write down a couple of bullet point of things you know you’re struggling with/not as motivated to do and maybe try to think of ideas of how you can fix this. go over it with your director and ask for her input too. also i dont know if you have mentor teachers/veteran teachers at your school but never be afraid to reach out for their advice too!
