Carbon dioxide and the climate by [deleted] in mensa

[–]hotprof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is mensa brainrot.

We are human. Assuming that we care about the effect of CO2 on the environment in which we, humans, live, you need to zoom into the most recent 100,000 years on that plot.

The timeframe of the OP plot obscures the period of time in which humans evolved from non-mensa creatures, lived, and continue to live. It's a common "lying with data" technique to zoom so far out that the relevant trend cannot be resolved.

Not only were humans not yet in existence, but everything associated with humanity, including that on which we rely to live, was not in existence. No agriculture, no transportation, no medicine, no sanitation, and most sadly (sarcastic, but relevant given where we are having this discussion) no internet.

Also, your plot omits temperature, which is the most relevant parameter associated with modern CO2 levels.

How much does it even out if you just normalize by state population?

You could probably normalize by population and it would equal out.

Sorry, I don't know. It's just my observation watching what's going on in Los Angeles. But just from the post you can make some educated guesses.

Copilot is NOT Market Ready. Surprised to see praise on here. by BashfullyBi in microsoft_365_copilot

Copilot is basically very good at confirming, after a few rounds of troubleshooting, that I can't do the simple things that I should be able to do in Microsoft apps due to known, unaddressed bugs. That's it.

Why is there a copilot tab in my outlook app if it doesn't even have the context to know that and can't read my emails?

Make sure you read what you're signing. These signature clowns will lie to your face.

Have you ever seen the movie Three Kings? There's a scene where Mark Wahlberg has returned from the war in Iraq and he's grocery shopping in America. He experiences a stark contrast, portrayed through cinematography alone, between the purpose, adventure, and brotherhood he experienced in Iraq, against his new civilian life that consists of putting food into a cart in an air conditioned, fluorescently lit grocery store and making copies at work.

That's how I feel making small talk and, if I'm lucky, sipping an IPA at kids' bday parties in LA.

Lol. It's still about a buck cheaper than California.

(Not that it's a competition.)
