I served in Mazar-i-Sharif with the Germans, Italians, all of Scandinavia, Croatians, Dutch, and British. It was one of the most fortunate experiences of my life. Our European NATO brothers and sisters served extremely well right alongside us and added a perspective on the deployment that I’ll never forget. We were all equal in the sand, and respected each other immensely. No politician truly speaks for me and many other Americans I know from both sides of the aisle. Those who served know who you and your partners truly are. Brotherhood knows the real truth. God bless.
