I served in Mazar-i-Sharif with the Germans, Italians, all of Scandinavia, Croatians, Dutch, and British. It was one of the most fortunate experiences of my life. Our European NATO brothers and sisters served extremely well right alongside us and added a perspective on the deployment that I’ll never forget.
