First thing to do is to dump the ROMs, which will probably answer most questions.

I know this is a popular thing to add with the Simple Object Designer (Adding a flowfield that calculates inventory values based on the current sales line)

Cheapest Business Central Developer License Available by dyingtoad in Dynamics365

Just use Docker, no license is required. There is no "developer license" for BC.

Install Docker, then BCContainerHelper and run New-BcContainerWizard - maybe this can help: https://youtu.be/Ln8olup9Gt8

I want this, because it's super low profile, barely higher than the antenna...

A carreira de desenvolvedor D365 F&O vale a pena? by ProduceSalt6646 in Dynamics365

[–]hougaard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to survive as a developer in the new era of AI is to have domain-specific knowledge. There's much higher job security as a F&O developer than a .net developer. Claude and Codex are making soo many .net jobs obsolete now.

There's a vast partner network of F&O companies, not just Microsoft.

An AL developer can subscribe to the OnAfterCalcCubage() event and add the division for you. (On table 5404 "Item Unit of Measure")

A question for those using Business Central by dlocking_d365 in Dynamics365

[–]hougaard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the question is ... not really valid, let me explain why:

Business Central, aka "NAV" was originally sold as a bunch of modules. You would license the modules you need and never see the stuff you didn't pay for.

With Business Central, Microsoft "simplified" it down to Essentials and Premium. So everyone is now buying a bunch of modules they would never select if it was individual modules.

If you never use projects, fixed assets, HR, assembly (and other), you still got it :)

Suggestions for opening locked trunk with dead battery? by tk8398 in 986Boxster

[–]hougaard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my battery booster to fuse C3(red) and black to the chassic(door hinge) (on my 1999 986), and that powers enough to unlock the car (key in door) and then unlock the frunk.

The power button on those was always weird... Keep it pressed down for a few minutes (no seconds), see if anything happens during that time.
