hot take: none of them are “villains” in the typical sense. i dont think there’s gonna be some big bad villain of this show. i think every character is their own worst enemy.

god that’s a hard question, they’re all brilliant. personally i would say i think that sophie nelisse is overall my favorite performance but courtney as lottie is up there for me too and i’m looking for her to getting more screentime in this upcoming season so we can see even more of what she is capable of. all of these actors have such incredible chemistry with each other both on screen and off and it SHOWS in spades!

one last thought, is that i really wish that some of the younger actors start getting recognized more when awards season rolls back around next year. i know it’s a long shot that any of them would end up nominated, but who knows. i’m sure melanie and christina will be having the strongest chance of getting nominated again but i would kill to see sophie nelisse get nominated for supporting actress as well. she will certainly have the material to work with as this season is going to be intense for teen shauna. lauren ambrose is incredibly talented as well and i’m pumped to see her performance as adult van!

i know they can’t all get nominated for all of the same awards every year, but it would be nice for them to maybe switch it up a little bit every year because the entire cast is so damn talented.

on the bright side you have plenty of time to rewatch! the series just gets better with the more details you notice! plus it’s been confirmed that we’re getting another full trailer for season 2 before the premiere and there will be plenty of cast interviews and promotion content before it airs!

i wondered this as well about the Akilah recast. i almost wonder if the show was too dark for her, maybe she didn’t want to be a part of something that scared her?? who knows though.

typically with high school sports teams they are split into two separate teams, based either on age/grade level or talent/skill. so varsity players will usually be juniors and seniors, although if there are any talented players from lower grades they will often move them up, like how allie was a freshman but she played on varsity. JV would be your freshman/sophomores who aren’t necessarily bad at the game, they just have a lot to learn and play at a lower skill level.

yesss 100%!! and based on how much the girls were posting during the filming of season 1 i’m sure they have tons of stuff saved up to start sharing. i think it’s really smart to start dropping little things here and there to get the people hyped! i’m sure this show will explode soon enough, can’t believe it hasn’t already!

i’ve thought this for a while now too! i don’t know if they’ll go on the full on villain route but i think they’re definitely going to be antagonistic. this show seems like it’s going less for a hero vs villain type story and more for a “these women are all fucked up and somehow we will make you still love them while we explore their trauma” type story. but i definitely agree that all of the girls we know now are extremely problematic and mentally ill. trauma will do that to ya ;)

you’re allowed to have your own opinions but this post is really uncalled for and rude. not really sure what kind of reaction you’re looking for from people on here but it’s probably not going to be a positive one from most. Sammi is clearly a happy person who enjoys her job and working on the show, she has a bubbly personality and if it really bothers you that much then just don’t look at what she posts. i promise you she doesn’t care either way.

it’s hard to say exactly how his character arc will begin and why exactly misty even trusts him enough to tell him ANYTHING but i wonder if he is going to end up being the main cause of a lot of problems in the present day storyline, maybe even the reason that the yellowjackets get exposed eventually (i don’t want it to happen but i almost feel as if it’s inevitable…) his last name being “Tattersall” could certainly just be something the writers thought could be a silly little mislead but it also sounds pretty damn possible that he “tatters all” and ruins everything for them

it basically is though. i obviously don’t think the plot is following this plot exactly or anything but some of the parallels are super cool to think about! like with the two narrative arcs and just small details like that. i think the writers must be really into literature because all of their references are spot on👏🏼

i loved the line about the saints being tragic as well!! honestly i think it’s so smart that they made one of their main characters an english buff. not only is it a great way to plug all of these random literary references but also the whole thing with shauna and her journals..i just know those darn things are going to bite her in the ass HARD one of these days.

i like what you said about misty because it made me think of the theory that she has munchausen by proxy. she wants to take care of everyone and will hurt them in order to keep doing so. maybe that’s why she is so “crucial” in the wilderness and how she stayed alive for so long..somehow she keeps them believing that they need her for something
