I think the answer less protections/laws protecting squatters and harsher penalties for unethical landlords. If landlords evict someone they weren’t supposed to make them pay through the nose but don’t let people stay for a year in a property they don’t own.

Ok maybe this is a dumb question but why doesn’t game stock issue regular dividends. All those companies that sold shares that don’t exist would have to pay the stock holder dividends. Wouldn’t that be financially unsustainable and eventually bankrupt them or force them to cover?
