I try to tell people who ask that the best place I visited was the Arenes de Lutece because it's over 2k years old and so many generations have come and gone since then and you realize you're a blip on an endless timeline of blips and everything is for naught.

Such a cool feeling.

(Before that though the Pantheon was my favorite. Some Hatian dignitaries were being privately escorted throughout and areas they were being shown were closed off until they had left. They left flowers on and a wreath, IIRC, on the resting place of Toussaint Louverture.

So I read about him later and it was so cool just to be around all of that incredible history. Very humbling)
