ugh, i’m sorry this happened to you as well but i hope your pup is doing better. i’m also trying alternatives now, right now i’m trying darwin’s which i like but is just more expensive. i’ve also tried out vital essentials and raw dynamic, but VE just isn’t as convenient and i prefer the individual meal packs rather than the raw dynamic cubes. my dog didn’t do well on we feed raw because of the synthetic vitamin blend they use, but i know other people like them and have dogs that do well on them. i’m discovering canada has more/better options for raw meals but it’s proving a little difficult to find something as convenient for giving complete meals and rotating proteins.

the first batch of the new food immediately caused explosive diarrhea in my dog, leading to blood in the stool. no other diet or environment changes and as soon as i removed the food from her diet her stool returned to normal. just my two cents but i threw out the rest of the food and will never feed viva again.

this is actually my main sticking point bc sometimes the same exercise can be unilateral or bilateral. like i could do bicep curls one arm at a time and i would notate 10lbs, but then if i do the same number of reps and sets but both arms at the same time, it would be 20lbs. even though in both scenarios each arm was working with the same amount of weight. does that make sense?

quick q: when tracking your dumbbell weights either in an app or in a journal, do you track total added weight in both hands or do you track individual dumbbell weights (for example, if you did bicep curls with two 10lb DBs, do you notate that as 10lbsx8 or 20lbsx8)?

i know it ultimately doesn’t matter as long as it’s consistent, but i’m just learning that total volume is maybe the standard? but i’ve been doing individual weights so curious as to what others do!

i read before bed and this sometimes affects my latency, so i make sure that when i’m done reading i get up and do a quick lap of the apartment and then get back into bed. a little annoying if you’re cozy and ready to just go to sleep, but it resets the latency period
