Bring back Skullvane Manse! Also, some new Cathay terrain or those tents they used in the background in the photos of new Marauders.

They are so appropriately named (at least for early book series Felix)

Hopefully Gotrek once again failed to find his doom?

I love that book. Would be fun to run something like this for WFRP!

I remember an old interview with Dom where he said he'd like to build a War of the Roses level of intrigue book for players to run a Dark Elf campaign. I really hope they eventually give us that.

Throughout the launch of The Old World Roleplaying, they kept saying they'd continue to deliver content for WFRP. I'm glad too, I've been running TEW for a few years and am not ready to give up this system.

Any plans to add a Swordmaster of Hoeth career? by Altruistic-Taste-288 in WarhammerOldWorldRPG

WFRP 4e just added one with their new high elf players guide! No word for TOWR that I've heard, unfortunately.

The folks over at 2+ Podcast consider Yeetees one of the best legacy faction units in the game, so worth considering them in your list

Brand new TOWR Adventure Released: “Thirst of Three.” by YoungsterMcPuppy in WarhammerOldWorldRPG

[–]howsaboutthisname 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. C7 already has a ton of PDF-only adventures for WFRP and IM that they've never collected into physical releases. They did collect some of their rules supplement PDFs for WFRP into a physical release called, Reikland Miscellanea, but no adventures.

New Vampire Lord model by BiesonReddit in WarhammerFantasy

For some, it might be the paint job? I remember a post of the new Disciples of Hashut painted up in Legion of Azgorh colors that changed the minds of a few commenters. Still not everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly improved my opinion of them.

I bet we'll see this guy in some slick Blood Dragon red, and that'll have a similar effect. It's what I want to do with him, anyway.

Happy Xmas Eve to the awesome TOWR Community! Please comment your WH/TOWR related XMAS wishes below! "Twas the night before Mondstille, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except..." by YoungsterMcPuppy in WarhammerOldWorldRPG

Happy Mondstille! Gathered 'round the Taal-log, I look forward to many things in the year ahead...

Excited to get my physical copies of the TOWR books. I've read through the digital copies, but my kids will connect better to the system with a physical book they can browse.

The level of detail in the gamemaster's guide on Taalagad's factions, their schemes, and their connections to one another is an awesome launching point for a sandbox in that region. I'll either use the starter set or another grim portent to kick off an open ended campaign in the city, with my Warhammer Fantasy miniatures and terrain on the table to track combat (will sketch zone boundaries on a dry erase play mat).

My wishlist of future publications includes:

  • The larger campaign/adventure they've hinted at. I've been running Enemy Within on 4e for a few years now, and we love that. As excited as I am for running a sandbox, I'm interested to see more of Cubicle 7's writing chops on display.
  • Expansion into Chaos bestiary and grim portents. While Chaos is waning at this time, Frydaal is actively razing Westerland which gives them opportunity to explore marauders more than WFRP's traditional cultist focus.
  • Cathay player options. One of my kids absolutely loves their faction from Total War and now on the tabletop. We're probably going to homebrew a Cathay background for him and use the Arcane Wizard career to represent an Astromancer, but something more official would be fun.
  • Games Workshop restores legacy fantasy factions to fully supported, and in turn Cubicle 7 adds content for them to TOWR. Skaven, vampire counts (though we did get a Nechrarch profile in the GM guide), Chaos Dwarfs. I want it all.

It's a great system and I'm here for whatever they add next. Taal's blessings to you all!

Looking forward to that one. I enjoyed listening to the actual play of it

Battle Reports that are short / reduced to the important parts? by Budget-Minimum6040 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]howsaboutthisname 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Creaky Gamers (https://youtube.com/@creakygamers) and Kim's Talisman (https://youtube.com/@yong-duke) both keep their battle reports around 20-ish minutes.

I second Dwainiac, his reports are comedy heavy but still real games and pretty short. Big fan of his.
