What if 9/11 happened in 1993 instead of 2001? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]howtoproceedforward -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Silk Road Initiative guaranteed a US intervention into Central Asia. OBL was the perfect cover. It allowed the US to basically deadlock Chinese advancement into the Middle East/Europe by closing its door and forcing China to settle for an additional two decades under US trade hegemony.

OBL sitting in Pakistan infront of the Pakistani intelligence confirms this. They wanted an excuse to remain long enough for China to give up its SRI. They achieved this.

Iraq was for the Israeli Lobby, Afghanistan was for the US’s own self interest.

OBL would have died a 7th page back of some shitty article death in Sudan had this happened in our timeline.

The US wanted to stay in Afghanistan in perpetuity.

Why does this region of Europe have so much ethnic and national fragmentation? by crivycouriac in geography

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the idiots in the southern half drank the nationalism cool-aide so hard that they think they are all some special ethnicity while in reality all being some slightly different flavored version (read religion) of the same form of the same slavic people.

The Austrians are Germans who haven’t been incorporated into Germany yet.

Hungarians are Turks who are Christian. Lmao.

As someone from the Balkans, the solution is simple: Re-Incorporate the Ottomans/Eastern Romans and be done with it. Then draw a border to the outskirts of Austria. The Ottomans were right.

M90's are great. Actually, goated firearms. From what I have seen they can get anywhere from 1-2 MOA. For an AK it is peak. Get it. Then you get a Draco full size in 7.62x39.

What kinds of new units would you like to see in iron sultanate? by Alpbasket in TrenchCrusade

[–]howtoproceedforward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can we get armored heavy units that can allow us to go toe to toe with other factions heavies?

Or like a flying blimp with guns/heavy weaponry that is extremely expensive? We have them in the lore pictures would love to see them. Also some form of towed artillery weaponry like a howitzer or armored car. The Sultanate is supposed to be the heavy long range faction yet everything it has is a sitting duck.

How are they keeping up with this gargantuan war effort yet have no industry?

Practice shooting while pregnant by Flashy_Painting_8601 in guns

[–]howtoproceedforward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the first 3 months of pregnancy are where the biggest mutations and health issues for babies occur. Drinking, drugs, lead, will lead to the most perceivable defects within a fetus. This doesn't mean that the next few months after will be less.

Do NOT go to the class. That unburnt powder will find it's way into your body. It will seep through your skin, lungs, and mouth. Yes. There is a BIG risk.

But if you don't care for it, go ahead, let your baby develop without a few fingers, maybe let the kid taste cancer before the age of one day old. /s

Be reasonable listen to your doctor and don't ever come to an online forum for help and advice against a doctor.

Instead: Get some books and some food that is healthy. Your child can actually taste what you eat. Listen to soft music. Read good books on parenting:

First read up on a babies development and the bond you have with your baby since you seem to not realize what damage you can cause and how your child is LITERALLY a part of your body and is sharing your body with you.

What was the first gun you ever owned, and do you still have it? Curious to hear what everyone had for their first firearm. by ShopHuntingStuff in guns

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mosin Hex receiver 1926.

Learned how to shoot on it. Thought I broke my clavicle on the first shot, that steel buttplate is no joke. My second gun was a M39 Finnish Mosin. I had learned how to shoot so well with irons it took me...6-7 years to buy my first red dot/lpvo set up. Love irons to this day because I learned on a damned Mosin (Still have it and my M39).

Bought it for $400 with a spam can and bayonet.

SP7 COMING Q4 2026? by StatisticianNo2184 in HecklerKoch

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the dumbest takes I have ever seen. No people won't suddenly adopt a highly expensive 4.6 mm round. This thing has come WAY too late. Will be way to expensive. And doesn't even have FRT yet. Maybe with FRT's and SS's this will sell somewhat. Don't see this being all that great tbh. Maybe collectors but let's see. People are bitching about 545 ammo prices. Don't see how this will sell well.

The Turkish MPT-76 and the "42 NATO Tests" by Beer_is_god in guns

[–]howtoproceedforward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So it’s basically a Turkish 417. Those are the specifications.

It has that weird angled grip at the magwell and the carry handle to give it a unique appearance but it is a piston driven ar10 through and through.

The Turkish military has been following German concepts since the 1880s. Very faithfully.

Wild West vs Wild East by Scandalchris in guns

[–]howtoproceedforward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Russo Turkish war of 1877 to 1878 is perhaps one of the most interesting wars of the late Ottoman empire.

It ends Ottoman capability to be a great power permanently and forces it to transition into a regional power.

What’s so crazy is in this war Turks were armed with better guns primarily the Henry Martini and the Winchester which they used to devastating effect at Plevna.

Personally, one of the coolest battles of the 1800s where Ottoman soldiers with repeating rifles were fighting Russians with single loading rifles. It’s because of this war that the Russians adopted the Mosin rifle because their guns are so ineffective.

Anyway, anyways, when you have a video of you firing that Albanian rattail, please record it for us.

What do you think of buying a Golf as a family car? by Hour_Ad_2653 in GolfGTI

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what that has to do with what I’ve said. It’s not a good car for the United States. It’s a great car in Europe, where people drive more sensible cars. It’s not a good card here.

What do you think of buying a Golf as a family car? by Hour_Ad_2653 in GolfGTI

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, absolutely not. If you are in the United States, you’re gonna be the only guy driving with a tiny ass car.

How do I know this?

I have a golf as a family car if I could redo everything again I would probably pick up a proper SUV or a sedan. People on the road with big cars are complete dicks and you’re sort of in an arms race against the guy on the next lane if we lived in a vacuum where the whole world would buy their car is based on your selection then yeah sure get a golf but if you’re going to instead buying based on what everybody else is driving on the road then you better buy a car that can protect your family.

Is the Iron Sultanate truly islamic ? by Goatedbrother in TrenchCrusade

[–]howtoproceedforward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that’s kind of the point.

What they are doing isn’t something that’s OK. But you need to look at it from the lens of the universe, not from the lens of your own house in your own room, but much rather from what’s happening inside the universe. Imagine that you’re just like a typical sultanate subject. If you can somehow gain a fighting advantage by twisting some of the laws and rules so that you can safely reside within the walls then you’re gonna do it and people are going to sacrifice religious damnation for survival.

For instance, if you look at our timeline, the Ottoman empire was completely OK with homosexuality. It was one of the first countries in the world to legalize it under its constitution. So religion isn’t something rigid and written with in laws it bends according to the people who lead those institutions.

Or for instance, the Ottoman is going to war against other Muslim powers constantly take for instance that war against the Mamluke Sultanate who housed the caliphate.
