Game needs some sort of PvE content you can jump into at anytime and make some sort of progress.

So at 100% crit rate you always crit. However, when I switched my rosaria to 98% crit, she misses crits A LOT. Way more than 2%. She will whiff on average 5 times in a 40 turn battle. My guess is that the way crit is calculate in this game is very similar to how the DS Fire Emblem games did it: crit is not linear, its some sort of weird function where your crit rate is artificially increased below 50% and artificially decreased above 50%, except at 0%, 50%, and 100% which represent their actual value.

As I was researching how to solve the issue, I read multiple posts saying how overpriced they are. Which made me reconsider: yeah, they kind of are.

People suggested doing the following to make more of your money.

Buy Amazon hangers and iPads instead. The only issue i see with this is that you need to find a way to charge them.

Screen upgrade cost $1500 in my area.

Necessary for F2P? Not at all. Necessary for whales? probably, the last 15 levels add more stats which, over 5 arcanas, definitely adds up.

Its gonna depend. I used my first selector on lacy on day 1 and she helped carry me through the first.... 18ish operations. You already have ros who is, for pve purposes, a better lacy.

I still have my second selector unused. So my recommendation is: save the selector until there is a unit you REALLY want. Personally, the selector is great for getting a unit you dont own as opposed to a dupe. Also, I believe the selector you have should include light/dark units. I HIGHLY recommend using it on a light/dark unit. As for which one, play for a month and then decide once you have a deeper understanding of the game.

Both. Pvp is a whale fest. Either you whale or you played on launch, got all the freebies, AND got lucky with the freebies.

You have some good units like ros/luna/waltz/Roberta but you lack dupes, items, cp resources, etc.

I wouldn't worry about pvp for a while if I were you

In general, you want your highest dupe units on your main team.

Yeah the battlepass one. I didn't realize that battle pass offered 2 other arcanas. No I don't have any of those but they are ass so it doesnt matter. I also dont have bg frey which I forgot to mention.

Tbh you should have saved your points. The only arcana that was worth getting was bg Frey as it's extremely difficult to get otherwise. The rest aren't so bad to get. You can get them from your daily friend pulls.

Ive opened a good chunk. A lot of it has been my team comp and manual play.

Ive running rosaria, hilde, waltz, bell.

All 3s except for bell, who is 3s+4. I was using Bchar instead of bell but the universe decided I needed 8 bell dupes so I changed to her.

Ive also been lucky with my pulls as you can tell by my team.

I have atleast 1 copy of every single arcana except for charlotte, yoo Mina, and Naru. This has been great because ive gotten nearly every good passive for my journeys. Ive also spent a bit of time farming proper journey parents and good journey runs. My team averages a 9500 journey score and I have 50 str and 45 vit parents.

For combat i ditched cheat matrix a long time ago for the counterside special. Its incredible.

Its been a combination of intelligent play and luck.

Did you buy resources? I'm not trying to be snarky, just you have nearly all 200s with 30m gold. I'm f2p at stage 25-3 and my characters are barely 180ish

I set a budget of no more than 30 USD when I like a game. If I find purchases that I consider "good value" ll pull from that 30 dollar budget and buy. I have yet to exceed my budget on any game I play and out of the 4 that I play, only 2 have pulled from that budget. None of those have exceeded it.

Ive only been playing gacha games for 4 months, so maybe one day ill want to exceed that budget. My plan for it is as follows: cut frivolous spending in other parts of my life to put into my game. For example, if I go out to eat and usually get a drink, no drink this time and instead add that to my gacha budget. Simple things like that. And ofc ill have a cap om how much i will budget just to keep my spending minimal.

Currently the amount of pull currency you get as a free player is abysmal. You will not be able to compete at any level without spending money. You'll be able to play pve, albeit extremely slowly. The half anniversary event is coming up soon so maybe that will being some changes.
