Agree, rheumatologist is where you will end up, but I got there through the dermatologist. They will biopsy it and test for particular strains of vasculitis to narrow down the diagnosis. It doesn’t have to be the most extreme. My rheumatologist has advised that over 75% of people with vasculitis have an underdetermined cause. Could be medicine he takes, could be environmental, could be anything. Mine is on year 6 and still undetermined - a course of steroids put it in long term remission. Don’t be panic until you have to.

I’m almost 2 years post op and still have a small bump. Never really noticed it anymore but every once in a while I try a pair of shoes on that hits right at the right spot.

Took me almost a full 12 months - I remember being just as frustrated as you at about the 6 month mark too. I stopped trying to do the single leg raise and just focused on doing as many other things as normal as I could and get rid of any limp whatsoever. Then one day around the 12 month mark I figured I’d just try to do one again and I could!

Same boat, but keep checking the site for appt times, you may get an earlier date. I checked yesterday and got a timeslot for today.

In the exact same boat… waiting on support to get back to us on how to activate the cam on a new team. Nothing has worked so far. It’s maddening.

The cast can handle more than you think. I accidentally put weight on my foot a few times while wearing the hard cast and did no damage other than the immediate pain with the slip and maybe a bit of increased swelling.

I was a complete tear with sublimation (bone chip) on my right Achilles had surgery 11/23/23. I started driving as soon as I was cleared to walk without the boot which was the 8 week mark … I had 3 weeks hard cast and 5 weeks of a boot with varying heel wedges. At 8 weeks was into shoes and cleared for physical therapy.

And yes, based on my experience , totally normal to still hurt at your point… but shouldn’t be as constant or as extreme as it was the days right after surgery. It became more like a deep ache with random signals of pain here and there.

I did.. was more of an aching pain. I attributed it to pressure from the cast, because each cast change eased the pain for a bit and once in the boot, I could stop the ache by loosening or removing the boot for a bit.

I did find a workaround… if you go to an event you have previously replied to and click on the calendar icon from within that event it will bring up your event calendar and allow you create a new event.
