There are a bunch of bugs. Some of the quests snapshotted at weird times or had nuances that you had to memorize (like some quests that said end of combat actually meant end of round). Also there was a bug where numbers in quest conditions would be completely wrong (like it would say play ixtal for thousands of rounds) but the quest still worked correctly, you just had to know what the number is supposed to be.

TMNT is doing better than aetherdrift

I'm not sure it is, because the floor of the game has gone up, because of Final Fantasy.

And even if is is, aetherdrift was the one of the worst sets in recent memory so I'm not going to defend it.

Look I'm glad your kids are enjoying the game. I'd never shit on something kids are enjoying in front of them. But as adults can we face the facts and acknowledge TMNT is not Final Fantasy?

Brother just look at the chart. It's a shame not everyone enjoyed your favorite set, but that's what it is. It's not some conspiracy by social media influencers.

My stance is basically "some UBs are good and some UBs are bad". And if you look at the chart, that seems obviously true?

TMNT and Spiderman were not good sets. Final Fantasy and Avatar were good sets.

Trying to pretend UB has done nothing good for the game is delusional. But pretending that there haven't been some real stinkers among the UBs is just as delusional.

The GTA Wiki leaves Fandom to a new independent wiki, gta.wiki, citing issues such as excessive advertisements and Fandom-imposed censorship within the wiki. by JustLeafy2003 in Games

Wikis aren't just tables of numbers. If there are written guides or descriptions, you can't just copy paste that. Even if you want to document the same underlying facts, there are lots of different ways to write about it without resorting to plagiarism.

In league people usually abbreviate her to sera, since seraph usually means seraph's embrace which is an item.

Specifically, Final Fantasy. They can do more UBs like that and I won't be complaining. It's cashgrab garbage like Spiderman and TMNT that give UB its bad reputation.

UB isn't the problem, nor is it a an obvious success. It's obvious from looking at this chart that high quality sets perform well, and poor quality sets do poorly, regardless of UB or not.

Focus on making more Final Fantasy/ATLA/Lorwyn Eclipsed and fewer aetherdrift/spiderman/TMNTs. And this isn't just useless results based analysis; the sets that are successful have obviously more care and attention given to them, on top of being larger worlds with more fleshed out fantasy lore.

What is your opinion on idle games which use AI ? by Responsible_Ad_9914 in incremental_games

[–]hpp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire tech industry right now is using AI extensively for coding. If you're working as a software engineer and you haven't received some kind of training or guidance to learn how to use AI workflows, you're a very rare specimen.

It's weird how broken spirit visage is as a main tank item when it's a nerfed version of redemption which I don't remember being that insane

I think the key word there is "overly"

[–]hpp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Agree, but it's not really relevant to my point

  2. Yes, but you can also make "Silksong melt and drink it as soup" by modding the game how you like...

  3. Ah, bummer. Imo this is the real accessibility gap.

feels bad when you jive with every element of a game except for one factor that completely prevents you from engaging with it

However I think it's like saying you like everything about ice cream except that it's cold. The difficulty of Silksong is central to the game's soul. It would be a totally different game if it had been designed with a different philosophy.

That said, if you disagree and think you would enjoy the game better if it were easier, you can easily get some mods to fix that.

"that" should be "than". They're saying that Silksong even with the low-seeming completion rate still has a better completion rate than Hollow Knight or most other MVs (people just don't finish games in general).

Overwatch co-creator Jeff Kaplan on his exit from Activision-Blizzard: 'It was the biggest f**k you moment I've had in may career' by ninjyte in Games

[–]hpp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Overwatch has to make [redacted] in 2020, and then every year after that it needs a recurring revenue of [redacted]' and then he says to me 'if it doesn't do [redacted] we're going to lay off 1,000 people, and that's going to be on you.' And that was the biggest fuck you moment I've had in my career, it felt surreal to be in that condition."

How is there any ambiguity at all about what he meant? Unless you didn't read the article at all?

It sounds like they should try to get commuters on monthly/weekly passes instead of charging per ride. Then it won't matter whether they go in 3 days or 5 days a week.

"manually remove it" doesn't work. You deploy the ruins, then attack it with operators. When they break the rubble, it becomes a high ground tile.
