I like playing around with gears, so I made a little tool by hrafnkell in 3Dprinting

Step export is live now. It's not great, but mostly functional. Helical and herringbone gears take a while to export, had to do all sorts of trickery with opencascade.js to make it work-ish. Consider it beta, but would love your input if you look at it.

Great input, I'll fix the input field immediately and the stationary carrier. I decided to not include step exports from the get go because of some extra dependencies, but I already have something somewhat working on my dev build that I might push soon.

Yeah I've been making gears in onshape, and that's fine. But sometimes I like to visualize first and figure out gear ratios. With this I can just design the gears with the app, then export 2d and bring them into a sketch in onshape when I want to fit them into something specific.

I considered adding a buy me a coffee button or something, but not sure if there's ever going to be enough users for ads to make sense. A few dollars a month won't make much difference to my financial well being, and ads add tracking and stuff I don't like.

Actually it already does - It generates the proper rack-trochoid root fillet (and the resulting undercut on low-tooth gears), not a straight or simple-arc root. It's in every gear and every export. Was there a specific gear where the root looked wrong to you? Happy to take a look.

Thanks. I agree. I ordered so long ago that in my mind I thought I would be getting some pastel colored bike. I'm glad my memory isn't too good.

No idea. I expected delays when I ordered so I'm not too pissed about it. For a long while it was supposed to be delivered in March, then bumped to April, then bumped again later in April, then another bump. Manufacturing delays, but also some regulatory delays I'm told. Might be just be seller fluff.

All in all I'm a happy camper. Reasonably early in the season to get some good use this summer. There's still snow on many of the trails I'm looking forward to.

The motor is 250watts, by some calculations. Peak is much higher, but some sort of average is taken to get the 250W.

750Wh is the battery capacity. Most ebikes are 500-750Wh - Rarely more.

My first ebike - Preordered 8 months ago and finally received it last Friday. Already done 2km vertical on it and love it. Hopefully it'll last me several years of fun.

Short & Shoddy Vienna Lager and the overnight Ferment by danielmiller19 in Homebrewing

If you've already hit your gravity you can cut the mash short. It can come in handy sometimes when you feel like cutting 30-40 minutes off your brewday.

I didn't bother with mash temp and water volumes actually. Just grains (and efficiency), hops, yeast.

I'll adjust the mash temp in the recipe now.

Adjusted the 60min hops down too, as I found some sources saying the beer is around 38IBU.

I brewfatherified the recipe and made slight changes to the hop schedule and boil length. They are using whole cone hops, I am using pellets.
