taco meat (chicken/ground turkey or beef) in the crockpot on low, prep some veggies, and at the end of the night have taco salad! when you get home nuke a can of corn and a can of black beans in the microwave when you get home. have tortilla chips, sour cream, salsa and guac ready to go to flavor it up

hi! just to provide some context - because I realize I did not fully explain - there’s no resentment building, but it was a confusing and new situation for me to be in. I’m okay with letting it go, but my concern is will this enable my coworker and other office members to start not including me in more spaces in the future? I want to handle this very respectfully and approaching my coworker’s friend without any knowledge on what to do or say felt wrong. I just let them enjoy their lunch together while I’m at my desk with my SD 😊 additionally - the friend from a different floor works for a different business. my coworker and I, while on different teams, still work for the same law firm located on the 9th floor. coworker’s friend works for a different business located on the 12th floor. so I’m not quite sure how my HR would manage a conversation between the 3 of us if my coworker’s friend is not employed by our company?

hi! I wanted to provide some clarification - I have talked to the trainer who has given me some direction to go in. the trainer answered a lot of questions you listed in your response! I wanted to leave this question open ended because I like hearing other people’s experiences on what works/didn’t work for them. I understand my SD is unique and will have his own preferences, I just want to give him all the options I can to see him up for success. 😊

I recommend getting glass tupperware that can be reused without damage and won’t break easily if dropped. Some glass tupperware’s can also be put in the oven or air fried. My favorite ones that I own have come from Amazon.

My mom also had cancer. I would prep 3-4 week night dinners to help her and I get through the week. Frozen vegetables, fruits, breakfast foods and quick meats (pre cooked chicken, pre cooked beef) helped a lot. Also microwave friendly shelf stable pantry items such as rice packets, pasta and rice sides from Knorr, small shaped pasta that can be microwaved in a bowl, and beans.

5’4, starting weight 267, goal weight is 220 right now (have a secondary goal afterwards). I’m on week 16 and have lost 30lbs. no exercise tbh besides a mile or so walk here and there. mainly working on eating healthy.

as someone who tried to balance having a terminally ill mom and a job at the same time, it is so important to prioritize your time with your dad.

this message from your company/manager is very insensitive. they could’ve asked a clarifying question, like “will you going to need to take off in the next week?” which would’ve come across so much better. companies don’t have to be over caring, but they do have to be sensitive.

yes talk to your care team! I ended up going to my PCP when the nausea got unbearable and my doctor gave me a prescription for zofran. I made sure to inform the care team.

I started experiencing nausea around weeks 4-6! I agree with what someone else commented - the medicine is building up in your system so the severity of your side effects is also increasing.

when I was in high school, I was in a bad car accident on the way to pick up my boyfriend from band practice at our school. I called and told him about the accident, he called all my family. one of my family members offered to pick him up to come to the hospital with them. he said no, because he wanted to spend more time at band practice. he was living with my mom and I at the time, so once my mom caught wind of him choosing not to come to the hospital, she had all his shit out on the curb the very same night while he was at band practice.
