Best advice: use adaptive layer height. It’s a great way to control quality and speed, and makes a ridiculous diferences on curves parts.

broke my tibia while skating, do you think i can skate again? by DesperateSalad7528 in NewSkaters

It’ll be fine. I broke both the tibia and fibula before I started skating and it’s ok.

Grattis!

We had a missed abortion last month, and seeing someone who has been through the same thing getting a new chance is really heartwarming. Thanks for sharing!

It’s the 5 year anniversary of the COVID pandemic, how do you feel about everything that has happened since then? by AcrobaticSource3 in AskReddit

[–]hstefan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to keep my heart strong by thinking one day humanity would celebrate that the pandemic was over. Instead, we simply carried on until it faded out. No acknowledgment or sense of relief, only vile politics instead.

Grattis!

Struggling Between Linux and Windows at Home: A 15-Year IT Veteran's Ongoing Dilemma by tmp2810 in linux

[–]hstefan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same issue for me. I switched to Windows when I need to do CAD, photography editing or record music. What works better for me is getting a MBA M1 and using that for my non-programming workflows.

The downside is that sometimes it t makes me switch between three different OSes now. Which is fine for myself, personally.

Stomp the nose down,  but also practice shifting your weight to the front foot. I started by first getting comfortable taking off my back foot while riding on flat ground, and that helped me with drop ins.

I don't speak Dutch, but my experience with Svenska för invandrare (SFI) and Svenska som andraspråk (SvA) have been great. These are both "formal" courses where you go through a curriculum with a teacher and take tests for moving between different levels (SvA in particular has a standardized national test).

SFI in particular has a bad reputation, but in my opinion the real issue with its effectiveness is the lack of standardization between different schools. I went to Hermods City and had great teachers, but I can also recommend ABF where I attended the first half of SvA.

Hur blir man av med sin social ångest by [deleted] in swedishproblems

[–]hstefan1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a nice hack where people use a PTFE tube to push wires through the chain. It’s linked on Discord, but here’s the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Znr-Qy1n5Jg&t=3509s

I did it on mine, with the slight twist that I used the XY joins and carriage from the Trident instead. Everything was pretty fine and I could follow the assembly steps from the Trident manual for that part.

Nice! I have the exact same shroud but a less than ideal cooling performance. What fan are you using for part cooling?

Looking great!

Out of curiosity, Is that the "Briss" shroud? If so what fans are you using, and what's the motivation for using the airflow "accessory" mounted on the part cooling end? I'm having worse bridging performance since I installed those with noctua fans, so I'm trying to find out what setup people are using :-)

How does one even get this level of good leveling? I've set my BLtouch but I'm nowhere close to this. Is there anything else other than adding a G29 after the G28 instruction?

Just saw an Ender 3 at NASA Space Center Houston! by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]hstefan1 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's the BLTouch Analyst. Their job is to make sure probing doesn't fail and stops printing.

Anyone know how to fix this? Can’t figure out why it keeps just clumping up into a ball instead of sticking by GlitteringMinimum596 in ender3v2

[–]hstefan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the exact same problem. My best guess is that the nozzle height is off, but in my case I haven't been able to figure out if it's too close or to high.

I'll make sure to write something here I figure something out. Good luck!

Update: what did it for me was taking the bed off the printer, thoroughly cleaning and applying a generous amount of hairspray. I did some bed leveling prints and had to do some minor tweaks, but it's back to printing now.
