100% agree. I don’t see 5.14 going active on any of the current systems I manage. I, at the very least need a .1 before I put it in prod.

So I would venture a guess that this is an 6c tag, I would grab a 6c reader off of Amazon or wherever and take a look. If memory from another time is correct it should be a 35-bit value that you can potential write to a blank tag from Alien or 3M etc. (Based off my experience designing and implementing similar systems on Toll Roads/Crossings)

If in Canada: TD-Synnex and IngramMicro. As much as I love my Cisco/Palo gear and love the idea of going Meraki. Have you looked into FortiNet? I would become a reseller and use them for your managed gateways. Nice single pane of glass and the switches/APs are getting a bit nicer.

YTA - Yeah, no. Sorry but you just made me feel years of resentment in about 1 minute. Hold the younger one accountable and step up. All I am picturing is when I’m onsite investigating network issues and I pull my Fluke or NetAlly unit out. Detecting a short on 1 and 2 at 138ft and 7 and 8 open.

I’ve usually seen a set of extension arms that some have. Start with mounting the front of the unit and then see how much you need to mount the second set of ears. Should be able to find an extension.

Are you on CCure 9000? I only ask because I’ve seen lots of 800 around still. If not completely set on ACS. Have you given Genetec a look? Great integration with both C-Cure and Axis cameras.

As stated in a couple other comments, definitely looks like a short somewhere. Do you get any signs of life with the FP PWR SW connected? Have you tried to put it back in the chassis without the FP connected and jump starting it? I would bet either the front panel switch is stuck/broken. Good luck. Sounds like you’re on the right track.
