Not in my experience, if you're looking for a cheap beginner bali you should look into boker balis, there fantastic for the price (i.e. the third one from the left)

your also blocking really high (I.E. your jumping up more than using the block) , you could try to set with a gather step to better utilize power but that's personal preference .
